2021 Emmy Awards Red Carpet Roundup
The Emmy Awards are always a well-attended affair, so here are the rest of the celebrities who took to the red carpet at L.A. LIVE on Sunday (September 19) in California.
Taraji P. Henson brought Elie Saab back to the red carpet for awards season, wearing a gorgeous black and white, sequin embroidered tulle gown from the Resort 2022 collection which she styled with Sophia Webster Natalia platforms.
Sheer done right.
Allyson Felixâs Fendi Haute Couture Met Gala gown was the single most viewed post from my 2021 Met Gala coverage.
For this occasion, feathers were replaced with plenty of sequins, as the athlete walked the red carpet wearing a sultry Reem Acra cut-out dress with sheer element which she styled with a matching clutch and David Yurman jewels.
Kathryn Hahn continues to set her own fashion rules on the red carpet by wearing a tailored Lanvin Fall 2021 look.
I love the oversized belt, the embellished booties, but her Briony Raymond necklace with that neckline didnât really work for me.
I didnât quite get Maya Erskineâs Miu Miu blue and white gingham column dress, until I realised it was fully sequinned, and yet it still doesnât feel quite glam enough for the occasion.
Rosie Perez looked beautiful wearing a custom Pamella Rolland gold beaded tulle gown and flutter cape sleeves styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.
Samira Wiley looked very sharp wearing a Genny suit from the Fall 2021 collection styled with Lark & Berry Fine jewels and Sophia Webster Rosalind Crystal sandals.
Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who welcomed their first child together recently, enjoyed a night out at the Emmys with the actress looking divine wearing a Zuhair Murad Pre-Fall 2021 bold shoulder cape dress.
While we donât see much of her dress in this picture, her stylist Penny Lovell posted a video on Instagram which shows just how stunning this was in motion.
Sarah Flint sandals completed her look.
Perhaps a dress just didnât make the cut for Ellen Pompeo, and she looked to a jumpsuit instead.
Her Elie Saab Fall 2021 velvet iteration was glamorous enough, but the crystal outline really sold this look to me.
Likely to be an unpopular opinion, but I thought this custom Lesley Hampton embellished dress worn by Devery Jacobs is so beautiful.
It was designed to show intricate detailing, and she wore the right undergarments. Indi City earrings and Christian Louboutin Degrastrass PVC pumps completed her look.
MJ Rodriguez just gets better and better for me. Her style was a little all over the place for a while, but sheâs really come into her own.
This custom Atelier Versace gown featuring beaded sculptural draping at the waist styled with matching sandals was a glowing testament.
I donât know how long it will take me to recover from being left in awe by Jean Smart who looked so regal wearing her custom Ralph Lauren Collection long-sleeve turtleneck draped dress.
The look was styled with Jimmy Choo Romy pumps and Cathy Waterman jewels.
Elizabeth Olsen enlisted the help of her sisters who designed this custom The Row gown which she styled with Chopard jewels and Stuart Weitzman custom dyed Chaka platforms.
The only thing not really working for me here is the eye makeup which feels too heavy.
When I saw Juno Temple wearing this Atelier Versace draped satin crop top paired with a floor-length skirt, trimmed with the brand’s signature Barocco lace I said âfinally.â
Finally, Juno Temple has had a successful outing in Versace. I guess it was a case of fourth time lucky.
America Ferrera not only brought back the iconic red carpet combo of purple and aqua blue, she also brought back a designer we havenât seen in some time; Juan Carlos Obando.
Her slinky slip dress was styled with Jennifer Meyer jewels, Stuart Weitzman custom dyed Merinda sandals and a Jimmy Choo âCelesteâ clutch.
Neon yellow was trending on the red carpet at the Emmys. First Michaela Coel, now Kaley Cuoco.
The actress wore a show-stopping custom Vera Wang gown.
I love how fresh and energetic this look was for her. It really complements her personality.
Matching sandals from Le Silla seems to be the key to perfecting this trend (note to self). Kaley added some bling courtesy of De Beers.
We have said a lot about custom Prada gowns over the years (not always positive), but Hannah Einbinder highlights just how beautiful their designs can be when they keep things simple.
Iâm really happy that this dress speaks for itself and isnât overwhelmed with embellishment to force it into an “award season worthy” look.
Just a simple silhouette, amplified by a gorgeous pink jacquard fabric, and stunning train.
Stuart Weitzman custom dyed Anny120 pumps and jewels from Fernando Jorge and Cathy Waterman accessorized this look which was one of the highlights of the night for me.
Beth Behrsâ Georges Hobeika Spring 2021 Couture embellished blush gown proves that diaphanous fabrics and a cape are always a winning combination on the red carpet.
Graziela jewels completed her look.
If youâve been scrolling this post looking for something different at this event, Madeline Brewer in her bronze lacquered Tom Ford Spring 2022 dress has you covered.
Her Tom Ford cobalt blue sandals make the loudest statement here. But I will understand if some deem this as too much of a contrast.
A selection of jewels from DâOrazio, Le Vian and Tom Ford completed her look.
Keri Russell was giving me all the drama I needed thanks to her Zuhair Murad Spring 2021 Couture rose mauve beaded gown with an embroidered caped train.
That train is everything.
Catherine Zeta-Jones wore a lush custom Cristina Ottaviano burgundy gown styled with matching Christian Louboutin Pigalle Follies pumps.
Cecily Strong was channelling her inner Angelina Jolie wearing an Azzaro dress, with Gismondi1754 jewelry and Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals.
When it comes to Aidy Bryantâs red carpet look, Iâm charmed not only by her custom forest-green Simone Rocha Fall 2021 dress, but also her red accessories and custom dyed Stuart Weitzman Chaka platforms.
Robin Thede looks ethereal wearing a custom Jason Wu Collection gown.
I love the bodice and the modest embellishments which enriched the skirt.
Olivia Colman doesnât always give us bold colour, so this colour-block Roksanda dress was a sidestep outside her comfort-zone, and it worked for her.
De Beers Jewels completed her look.
Caitlin Thompson was serving up sophisticated glamour in Jason Wu Collection.
Iâm obsessed with Moses Ingram’s Christian Siriano wrap gown.
This shade of green has me officially ready for Fall.
Gismondi1754 jewels and Stuart Weitzman silver lame velvet Soliesse platforms completed her look.
Iâve come to the conclusion that Mindy Kaling wants to separate her Instagram style with her red carpet style, because she brings the colour to Insta, while serving up darker hues on the red carpet.
On this occasion she wore a beautiful Carolina Herrera gown, which was far superior to her Met Gala gown.
I know, in my heart, that only Angela Bassett could sell this Greta Constantine Resort 2022 dress to me.
I can’t say I love the dress, but Angela breaths life into it.
The question is, did she sell it to you?
Gismondi1754 jewels completed her look.
Beanie Feldstein wore a Brandon Maxwell Spring 2022 rose gold pleated sequin cocktail dress styled with Christian Louboutin Cathy sandals and jewels from Melissa Kaye and Briony Raymond.
I adore the dress. But I wish she had done something different with her hair.
There arenât any pictures of Hannah Waddingham on the red carpet prior to her Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy win.
The photographers should hang their heads in shame for missing an opportunity to capture just how radiant the British actress looked wearing this custom Christian Siriano coral pink pleated chiffon gown.
Christian Siriano really knows how to make a woman look and feel beautiful.
The photographers did capture her in the winners room with her ‘Ted Lasso’ co-star Brett Goldstein, winner of the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
Gianvito Rossi heels, and Anabela Chan jewels completed her look.
Julianne Nicholson was also a winner on the night, taking the award for her work as Lori Ross in the HBO Max limited series âMare of Easttownâ wearing a floral Giambattista Valli Fall 2021 gown.
Jennifer Coolidge may play characters who are a little all over the place, but she looked ever so elegant wearing this Christian Siriano custom navy silk crepe cape sleeve gown.
Susan Kelechi Watson wore a Markarian Spring 2022 dress with Alexandre Birman Willow sandals and Briony Raymond Estate jewels.
I can’t think of a better way to close this post, than with Nicole Byer in her Christian Siriano custom orchid purple tulle gown.
