Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet

Hollywood Foreign Press Association's Grants Banquet

There were plenty more celebs who joined Charlize Theron and Laura Harrier for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet on Thursday (August 9) in Beverly Hills, California.

Dakota Fanning: I love that Dakota served up something outside the Miu Miu-Prada family, yet I found it hard to warm to this Nina Ricci Resort 2019 wrap dress. Perhaps it’s just a case of not liking the road less traveled. Olgana Paris ‘L’Amazone’ jeweled sandals completed her look.

Amber Heard: When it came to Amber’s Saint Laurent dress, my feelings were much more clear. There is too much going on with this print.

Cynthia Erivo: The singer opted to go glam in this Michael Kors Collection Fall 2018 dress with a tantalizing sculpting silhouette which she styled with Eva Fehren jewels and quirky headband.

Amy Adams In Gabriela Hearst & Michael Kors Collection – The View & Late Night with Seth Meyers

It would appear that bold print floral dresses have been Amy Adams’ stylish go-to during the second half of her promotion tour of ‘Sharp Objects’, following all black for the LA premiere and the blue suit for the New York screening.

‘The View’: It would be easy to write this Gabriela Hearst Resort 2019 dress off as a typical floral dress, but here is so much more besides with the pleats revealing a geometric black and white print to give the look a more contemporary feel, along with her Carolina Santo Domingo ‘Amphora’ bag, chic shades and Jimmy Choo ‘Hesper’ sandals.

Late Night with Seth Meyers: Her Michael Kors Collection dress seemed to serve up a new version of the designers Fall 2018 print, with fluttery qualities of chiffon and a smattering of sequins to inspire a whole new feel to this feminine look.

Entertainment Weekly Hosts Its Annual Comic-Con Party

After spending hours promoting their film and TV shows, celebs let their hair down at Entertainment Weekly’s Comic-Con Bash on Saturday (July 21) in San Diego, California.

Madelaine Petsch: I much prefer this dainty Monique Lhuillier Fall 2018 dress styled with ruby René Caovilla red pumps over the edgy look she tried to sell me during the day events. Summery and feminine; this feels more suited to her style.

Cole Sprouse: If you’re thinking that the actor was bold to pair this Bottega Veneta Fall 2018 red blazer and printed shirt. You’ll be interested to know that he could’ve gone further with the runway yellow trousers. But black works perfectly for a more refined look.

Lili Reinhart: The actress was oozing sensual elegance in her Ralph Lauren Pre-Fall 2018 Collection peony silk satin slip dress.

Comic-Con 2018 Red Carpet Roundup

Comic-Con 2018 was awash with talent and inspiring red carpet looks. Here is a look at those who caught my eye.

Zoe Kravitz: The actress, who participated in the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ panel, kept things cool – as you would expect – wearing a cropped t-shirt and Prada Fall 2018 trousers with a punchy print.

Ruth Negga: The thing I love most about Ruth style is the confidence oozing from every pore. This Ulla Johnson look styled with By Far sandals, was yet another effortless example.

Jamie Chung: The one thing you can rely upon with ‘The Gifted’ star is colour, and perhaps some vibrant tropical blooms. This Alice + Olivia ‘Amos’ blouse and NBD ‘Derrick’ skirt has me dreaming of exotic locations.

Gretchen Mol In Michael Kors Collection – 2018 Comic-Con

Gretchen Mol was seen greeting fans at Comic-Con 2018 in San Diego on Thursday (July 19), where she was speaking on a panel for SyFy’s show ‘Nightflyers.’

There are a lot of rules out there about how to mix prints, but they’re usually outdated and more focused on what ‘doesn’t’ work than what does.

Take Gretchen’s Michael Kors Collection Fall 2018 plaids and stripes combo for example.

Some will say that plaids and stripes do not mix, but really stripes go with everything.

What I believe works well here are that they are small stripes giving her outfit some balance while not overwhelming the eye, therefore allowing the skirt to steal focus.

I would rock this look in a heartbeat, as it’s so very chic.

‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ World Premiere

There were many more lovely ladies who attended the London premiere of ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ on Monday (July 16); joining Lily James, Thandie Newton and Amanda Seyfried.

Jessica Keenan Wynn: Opting for a black velvet Cristina Ottaviano Fall 2018 dress, I have to say I’m loving the drama despite the heavy – not so heatwave friendly – fabric. She totally sells the look to me mostly because of her hair and makeup.

Meryl Streep: That blue. I was not only entranced by her Marni Mazarine blue asymmetric dress, but also by the Marni satin embellished pumps and a Swarovski embroidered belt which enliven the look further. Garrett Leight California Optical shades completed her look, along with a yellow Edie Parker velvet – yes velvet – clutch.
