Angela Bassett In Greta Constantine – Woman’s Day Celebrates 16th Annual Red Dress Awards

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Angela Bassett In Greta Constantine - Woman's Day Celebrates 16th Annual Red Dress Awards

Angela Bassett honoured the Woman’s Day celebration of the 16th Annual Red Dress Awards on Tuesday (February 12) in New York City wearing Greta Constantine.

The Fall 2018 red capelet gown provided plenty of eye-popping drama for the occasion, but I’m not too fond of the cut-out here.

Does anyone else wish this part of the look was modified?

I’m not entirely sure it’s flattering on Angela.

Clive Davis’ 2019 Pre-GRAMMY Gala

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Clive Davis' 2019 Pre-GRAMMY Gala

Celebrities were in the party spirit at Clive Davis’ 2019 Pre-GRAMMY Gala on Saturday (February 9) in Beverly Hills, California.

ASAP Rocky: He was popping in a pink Loewe Fall 2019 suit. There will be people who’ll object to the exaggerated oversized proportions, but he made the look his own with his styling and pearly jewellery.

Rita Ora: Never one to disappoint in the drama department, the singer was encircled in whimsical embellishment in Yanina Couture Spring 2019. Her finishing touches play into the flowing ensemble without competing.

Angela Bassett In Georges Chakra Couture – 2019 SAG Awards

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Angela Bassett In Georges Chakra Couture - 2019 SAG Awards

Angela Bassett experimented with texture at the 2019 SAG Awards this Sunday evening (January 27).

The ageless actress, who is on presenting duties this evening, donned a Georges Chakra Fall 2018 Couture dress which was abound with detail between the plunging neckline and origami-inspired fabric.

It’s not my favourite colour on her and the silhouette can sometimes read as awkward, especially with the opening in the skirt.

Casadei shoes, Kimberly McDonald jewels and a Tadashi Shoji clutch completed the complex style.

MoMA Contenders ‘Black Panther’ Screening

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features MoMA Contenders 'Black Panther' Screening

The ‘Black Panther’ promo tour may have started back in January, but Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, and Angela Bassett were still in promo mode when they attended the MoMA Contenders Screening and Q&A held at Hammer Museum on Tuesday (December 4) in Los Angeles, California.

Chadwick Boseman: We expect swirly paisley prints from Etro, so you may be surprised to learn that Chadwick’s Etro tunic hails from brands Spring 2018 collection. I love that burnt orange colour. Those of you who have been to Africa will recall that this is the colour of the earth, so it this look – styled with contemporary cargo pants and sneakers – was the perfect choice for this screening.

Lupita Nyong’o: The Kenya actress’ look didn’t pay homage to Africa, but this Alessandra Rich Spring 2019 polka dot dress did showcase her flare for colour and pretty feminine frocks. When it comes to the shoes, we’ve learned to accept that simple works best for Lupita.

Angela Bassett: As always, auntie was looking super chic, and extra fly wearing a peach velvet suit from Paule Ka. You know how I feel about velvet, so I was drooling over this three-piece decadent look. Angela likes to take a risk now and then, which have mixed results, but on this occasion she was elegance personified.

Angela Bassett In Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition – ‘Bumblebee’ LA Premiere

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature Angela Bassett In Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition - 'Bumblebee' LA Premiere

Angela Bassett showcased her fetish for fringe once again for the premiere of ‘Bumblebee’ on Sunday (December 9) in Hollywood, California.

Her fringe jumpsuit back in January has nothing on this colourful number from Alberta Ferretti’s Fall 2018 Limited Edition collection.

The all-over tiered layers in orange, red and pink make this a dramatic and memorable look, as well as providing wonderful movement to this striking style.

I really don’t want to nitpick, but I do wish she opted for red or orange shoes, as they are the most dominate colours on this dress.

Yes, I’m equally surprised to be picking at her gorgeous magenta Casadei sandals.

Hearts On Fire jewels completed her look.

Hamilton Behind The Camera Awards

Hamilton Behind The Camera Awards

Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards took place on Sunday (November 4) in Los Angeles, California, where Rosamund Pike was joined by a host of other ladies.

Regina Hall: With a classic silhouette, this Monique Lhuillier Bridesmaids Paige strapless ruffle gown is so simple and elegant that it sells itself.

Zoe Kazan: Also opting for purple, I knew it was only a matter for time before we saw Zoe jump on The Vampire’s Wife love boat. I do love the way she styled her look with maroon pumps for a deep contrast.
