Meghan, Duchess of Sussex In Roksanda & Martin Grant – Australia Tour Day 4

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex In Roksanda & Martin Grant - Australia Tour Day 4

So here we have it.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex finally flying the flag for British fashion wearing a dress from Roksanda’s Pre-Fall 2018 for her visit to the Macarthur Girls High School on Friday (October 19).

Yes, it’s navy, again, but at least this ‘Athena’ dress, with its sweet ’50s inspired silhouette, is in two shades of blue, which in this case feels ground-breaking.

Of all the navy dresses she has worn in recent times, this is my favourite.

Since the girls uniform was navy and light blue, I thought this was a nice touch and well thought out.

PORTER’s Incredible Women Gala 2018

PORTER's Incredible Women Gala 2018

There were a host of stars who joined Gabrielle Union and Alice Eve to celebrate PORTER’s 3rd annual Incredible Women Gala on Tuesday (October 9) in Los Angeles, California.

Charlize Theron: I really wanted to get excited about this Giambattista Valli Fall 2018 dress, but the top half is throwing me off.  I do love the girlie essence the tiered skirt brings to the look, but that’s about it.

Alison Brie: I know the Brock Collection isn’t loved by all, but I adore the label’s feminine approach and the raw-edges of their asymmetrical ruffles. My only comment on this particular look, is that the bodice seems a tad tight.

Tiffany Haddish: The Emmy-winning actress caught my eye in this Georges Chakra metallic embossed paisley suit. I don’t always get her style choices, but this is easily my favourite look from her this year. Perhaps tailoring is the way to go. Brian Atwood gold ‘Valerie’ pumps, Anabela Chan sustainable lab-grown diamond ring and Gismondi 1754 earrings completed her look.

Cate Blanchett In Roksanda – ‘The House with a Clock in Its Walls’ Press Day

Cate Blanchett continued to promote her latest film, ‘The House with a Clock in Its Walls’ at a press day held at the Magic Castle in Hollywood on Thursday (September 13).

Her stylist, Elizabeh Stewart, shared this Instagram moment of the Australian actress dressed in Roksdana Resort 2019.

I love how Roksanda’s dynamic feminine mood is presented in this dress. Cate looks quite commanding here, thanks to the bright pink fabrication, lustrous satin finish, and of course that red bow.

Had this been on the red carpet, it would’ve looked great with an artistic clutch to complement the bow.

I wouldn’t mind a re-run of this dress in the aubergine and blue look book version. In fact, I think I prefer that version.

Malone Souliers pumps completed her look.

Olivia Colman In Roksanda & Stella McCartney – ‘The Favourite’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Olivia Colman In Roksanda & Stella McCartney - 'The Favourite' Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Olivia Colman joined co-star Emma Stone for the photocall for ‘The Favourite’ during Venice Film Festival today (August 30) in Italy, before attending the premiere this evening.

Photocall: I love the soft, feminine tailoring of this Roksanda Pre-Fall 2018 jumpsuit. Simple and demure with only the ruffle flared sleeves for detail, the actress was the epitome of modern sophistication, especially when styling her look with lace up booties.

Premiere: Now this is stunning. Stella McCartney and cape jumpsuits (and gowns for that matter) have always been a red carpet winning combination, and this is no exception. Yes the trousers are a tad long, but in terms of style and elegance, Olivia is winning here. The only thing I would definitely change (or remove) is the clutch.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex In Oscar de la Renta, Lady Kitty Spencer In Dolce & Gabbana & Countess Spencer In Roksanda – Celia McCorquodale’s Wedding to George Woodhouse

Newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were all smiles as they attended the wedding of his cousin Celia McCorquodale to George Woodhouse at St Andrew and St Mary’s Church in Stoke Rockford, Lincolnshire this weekend.

The new Duchess of Sussex – exactly four weeks after her big day – wore long-sleeved blue-and-white Oscar de la Renta long-sleeve paisley wrap dress from the Resort 2019 collection with a white Marks and Spencer Pillbox Bow fascinator and Carolina Herrera Scala Insigna clutch.

I’m going to be brutally frank by saying this is by far her worst look since stepping into the spotlight.

The dress appears too big, the styling appears clumsy and her hair was surprisingly messy. One has to wonder if she got dressed in the back seat of the car.

If I was to sum up this look in one word it would be sloppy.

I have always refrained from comparing the Duchess’s, but as Olga said in Meghan last post; “Kate’s style can be boring and repetitive, but I always find her impeccable: crisp clothes and tidy, glossy hair.”

In this instance, I wholeheartedly agree.

Princess Beatrice In Roksanda & Princess Eugenie In Gainsbourg – Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie joined other members of the royal family including Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge at the royal wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle today (May 19) in Windsor, England.

Princes Beatrice: Opting for a bohemian sentiment, she wore a bespoke Roksanda Viola dress, Stephen Jones hat and Gianvito Rossi shoes and Roksanda ‘Besa’ bag. The rich petrol blue with clusters of embellishment created a striking finish with her ginger hair. I’m sure many will wonder whether this subdued headpiece is after the statement one she wore to Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding.

Princess Eugenie: The engaged royal was clad in a bespoke dress by Gainsbourg, hat by Fiona Graham, M2Malletier bag and Valentino shoes. It brought to mind outfits worn by Jacqueline Lee Kennedy Onassis. But, it is not in the realm of the former first lady’s wardrobe and I question whether it was entirely suitable.

Do you like the looks?
