2026 CFDA Fashion Awards: The Final Red Carpet Roundup
The 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards delivered plenty of memorable fashion, and this final roundup brings together everything from archival favourites and classic eveningwear to bold colours, unexpected textures and a few looks that might divide opinion.

Back To The Archives
Adriana Lima wore an archival Donna Karan Collection Fall 2006 dress. Twenty years later, this ivory gown still looks just as relevant. I love the contrasting black cummerbund and matching sandals.

Bathrobe Blues
Alexa Chung wore a velvet wrap dress from Tory Burch’s Fall 2026 collection. It’s giving bathrobe, and the styling is just as bad. Her Tiffany & Co. jewellery included Elsa Peretti Mesh scarf earrings and a Bean necklace, but even those couldn’t save this look. Such a randomly bad outfit for Alexa.

Red Hot
Coco Jones wore a red floral Kim Shui gown. The colour is gorgeous on her, although I find the corseted waist a little busy.

Teddy Girl
Indya Moore wore Diotima Spring 2027, designed by Rachel Scott, who took home the American Womenswear Designer of the Year award. The sculptural silhouette and fluffy texture make this one of the more interesting looks of the night, with furry sandals adding to the cosy teddy bear feel of it all.

Vintage Showgirl
Keke Palmer wore vintage Bob Mackie, choosing a gold-embellished gown with a daring cut-out bodice. Between the dress and her copper curls, there is a fabulous retro glamour to this look. Keke is never afraid to have fun with fashion, although I’m sure some will find this dated.

Black Tie Boredom
Lea Michele may have worn a strapless black wool origami gown with a shearling stole from Michael Kors Collection Fall 2026, but the result feels very beige, as in boring. It’s simply not enough for a fashion event.

Silver Linings
Lili Reinhart shimmied down the red carpet in a strapless nude-and-silver embellished dress from Monse Spring 2027, with the asymmetric fringed hem stealing the spotlight. What are your thoughts on her champagne-hued Aquazzura Tell Me Crystal sandals? Should she have opted for silver to complement the hemline?

Fringe With A Twist
Style-wise, I can’t say I’ve ever been a fan of Lindsey Vonn’s fashion choices, but this burgundy satin gown with long fringed trim from Gabriela Hearst Fall 2026 was an intriguing change of pace. The colour is beautiful on her, and I like the contrast between the fluid satin and the decorative detailing.

Mellow Yellow
Meadow Walker wore Colleen Allen. I love the refreshing yellow and textured fabric, but the navy pumps wouldn’t have been my first choice.

Gorgeous In Green
Monica wore Cult Gaia, and I’m completely sold on this combination of green tones. Even the oversized faux-fur coat works for me.

Ombré Effect
The ombré effect of Priya Shukla’s Danielle Frankel dress, with its fringe graduating from cream to brown, made this one of my favourites of the night.

All White On The Night
I was just as enamoured with Stella Hanan’s Simkhai Resort 2027 dress. The silhouette is beautiful, and I appreciate that she allowed the dress and all its intricate detailing to speak for itself. The white sandals complete one of the most elegant looks in this roundup.

Cut-Out Classic
Suki Waterhouse wore Michael Kors Collection Spring 2027 with Jimmy Choo slingbacks. I like the asymmetric silhouette, but I expected something a little more interesting from Suki.
