Jennifer Connelly was spotted on the red carpet for the 2021 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 19) with her Dior Men-clad husband, Paul Bettany, yet there appears to be no photographic evidence, so thankfully her look was captured for Instagram.
The actress, who has worn Louis Vuitton exclusively since 2013 when Nicolas Ghesquière became the artistic director of women’s collections, wore a look from the Resort 2022 collection.
We’ve seen a lot of Louis Vuitton red carpet looks especially in recent times during Cannes, Venice Film Festival and now the Emmys.
What I find very intriguing is that for major events they were all pretty much custom made.
Jodie Comer’s Louis Vuitton top used the same fabric for her Venice Film Festival photocall look, and we have all seen Cynthia Erivo wearing a custom LV look to this event to name three, before going way back to earlier this year with Regina King, Nicole Kidman and Kate Hudson.
So I’m wondering why this is rarely afforded to Jennifer?
She will usually wear a total runway look (although not in this case thankfully, as those boots are still banned), when a custom look would – in my eyes – feel more personal to her, and her long-standing relationship with the brand.
