For some reason Danai Gurira didn’t take to the red carpet for the LA premiere of ‘Harriet’ on Tuesday (October 29) in Los Angeles, California.
I’m not sure why, but I’m delighted to see her red carpet look via Instagram.
Perhaps she didn’t want to steal the shine of the two leading ladies, but let’s face it, no one was going to outshine Cynthia Erivo in that Marc Jacob feathered piece.
Danai did make a strong statement of her own in this Pyer Moss Spring 2020 outfit which I adore.
From the bold yellow shirt to the brightly colored figurative painting on the pleated skirt, this was a truly modern moment needed a spotlight.
I would’ve loved to have seen this look with a footwear other than the white boots presented by Pyer Moss, but I’m going to overlook my white boots bias, as she totally nailed this look which Kerby Jean-Raymond calls a black rock aesthetic that is devoted to African-American culture.
