Sandra Bullock In Akris & Johanna Ortiz – Netflix ‘Bird Box’ Comic-Con & Press Conference

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature Sandra Bullock In Akris - Netflix 'Bird Box' Comic-Con.jpg

Sandra Bullock was in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she’s promoting Netflix’s ‘Bird Box.’

Netflix At Sao Paulo Comic Con 2018: I don’t want to get all caught up in the vibrant electric-blue hue of this Akris Fall 2018 suit, but I can’t help myself, as I’m about to go and shake my couch to see if I can find enough change to own this look.

Aside from the colour, the look is powerful on its tailoring merits alone.

An oversized blazer doesn’t always work, but the size and cut rendered this look seamless.

My feeling is that Sandra may lose you with her Christian Louboutin ‘Miss Tennis’ ankle boots. They are a work of art and deserve a spotlight, but I would’ve loved the pump version with this look.

Princess Charlene Of Monaco In Givenchy & Akris – Armistice 2018 & Monaco National Day 2018

Princess Charlene Of Monaco In Givenchy & Akris - Armistice 2018 & Monaco National Day 2018

Princess Charlene of Monaco has been fulfilling her royal duties in impeccable style.

WWI Armistice Commemorative Ceremony: On Sunday (November 11), she was in Paris for the Armistice commemorative ceremony, with her husband and around 70 heads of state, prime ministers and foreign dignitaries, but she had me in a trance with her impossibly chic head-to-toe Givenchy look. As we all know, Akris is her brand of choice, but I believe this was her first time wearing Givenchy, no doubt in honour of the City of Lights. Note how (fairly) simple each piece is, yet the look is so covetable. Effortless styling at its very best.

Monaco National Day: The National Day celebrations took place in Monaco on Monday (November 19). I can’t say I love this custom Akris look in its entirety, but the wide-brimmed black felt hat keeps me interested. It positives about this look are: it’s formal and event appropriate. No major fashion statements were required here, yet she’s giving us plenty anyway.

Monaco National Day Gala: Later that evening she changed, wearing yet another Akris design. Some might have wanted to see a bit more Hollywood glamour as per her Atelier Versace look, but the dutiful dress provided the perfect back drop for the order of St. Charles sash and medal. Jimmy Choo pumps and Repossi jewels completed her look.

Givenchy FTW.

2018 People’s Choice Awards

2018 People's Choice Awards

There was much to see at the 2018 People’s Choice Awards on Sunday (November 11) in Santa Monica, California, with celebrities joining Danai Gurira and Kat Graham.

Emeraude Toubia: The ‘Shadowhunters’ actress warmed up the red carpet in a creamy orange Solace London gown. Had it been a few shades darker, it would have really brought out her complexion.

Alisha Wainwright: Emeraude’s costar made an even bolder statement in striped Maggie Marilyn Resort 2019 with Atelier Swarovski jewels. I wish for a sleek bun or pony because the big hair and silhouette are creating a strong retro mood.

Mila Kunis: Always partial to a black dress, ‘The Spy Who Dumped Me’ actress was attired in Alex Perry. The Christian Louboutin ‘Degrastrass’ pumps added a magical touch.

‘The Romanoffs’ New York Premiere

'The Romanoffs' New York Premiere

Amazon Prime Video hosted the New York premiere of ‘The Romanoffs’ at the Russian Tea Room on Thursday (October 11).

Diane Lane: Diane will always be one of those actress’ I will forever hold in high regards due to her talent, style and grace, and she looked ever so graceful in this Akris suit. The look had me swooning at every turn; from the velvet fabric, colour and style that was formal, yet not ridged. I love how she kept the green theme going with the Gabriela Hearst ‘Demi’ bag.

Amanda Peet: I know some of you don’t like step-hem, or mullet dresses, but there’s something about this Michael Kors Collection Fall 2018 dress that feels very modern to me.

Cara Buono: Between Diane’s green velvet suit and Cara’s blue bell sleeve textured jacquard dress from Theia’s Fall 2018 collection, I’m getting a lot of festive feels from this red carpet.

Viola Davis In Akris – ‘Widows’ London Film Festival Premiere

Viola Davis In Akris - 'Widows' London Film Festival Premiere

The BFI London Film Festival had its opening night on Wednesday (October 10), with Viola Davis’ latest film, ‘Widows’ premiering at the event.

This might be controversial, but I’m not crazy about Viola in this Akris red dress.

I adore the colour on her, but the dress itself feels pretty basic, and doesn’t live up to her stature.

I also don’t like random asymmetric line going across her chest.

A matching Tyler Ellis ‘Aimee’ clutch and black pumps completed her look.

Comic-Con 2018 Red Carpet Roundup

Comic-Con 2018 was awash with talent and inspiring red carpet looks. Here is a look at those who caught my eye.

Zoe Kravitz: The actress, who participated in the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ panel, kept things cool – as you would expect – wearing a cropped t-shirt and Prada Fall 2018 trousers with a punchy print.

Ruth Negga: The thing I love most about Ruth style is the confidence oozing from every pore. This Ulla Johnson look styled with By Far sandals, was yet another effortless example.

Jamie Chung: The one thing you can rely upon with ‘The Gifted’ star is colour, and perhaps some vibrant tropical blooms. This Alice + Olivia ‘Amos’ blouse and NBD ‘Derrick’ skirt has me dreaming of exotic locations.

Princess Charlene of Monaco In Akris – Monaco F1 Grand Prix

Monaco’s highly anticipated Grand Prix 2018 sped into action on Sunday (May 27) with royalty and celebrities alike flocking to the Monaco street circuit in Monte Carlo to watch Australian racer Daniel Ricciardo take the coveted first place trophy.

Princess Charlene of Monaco brought her signature understated style in a colourful midi-length dress by Akris, styled with a pair of two-toned blue heels and a simple pair of diamond earrings.

It might not seem as glamorous as her past looks at this event, but for me it was the perfect relaxded look for a sunny Sunday daytime outing.
