Amandla Stenberg In By Malene Birger – ‘The Hate U Give’ LA Screening

Amandla Stenberg In By Malene Birger - 'The Hate U Give’ LA Screening

After the heavy promotion during Toronto Film Festival, Amandla Stenberg attended ‘The Hate U Give’ LA screening on Sunday (September 16).

I love what Karla Welch is doing with Amandla, and that is keeping her look fresh, current and unpredictable – as with all of her clients.

By Malene Birger – who show during Copenhagen Fashion Week – create pieces that are modern, relevant and effortless to wear. That all came across in Amandla’s Spring 2019 ruched set featuring a print of a woman’s face.

I love how the accessories amp up the edginess of the look without force.

Amandla Stenberg In Ellery, Simone Rocha & Huishan Zhang – 2018 Toronto International Film Festival

Amandla Stenberg In Ellery & Huishan Zhang - 2018 Toronto International Film Festival

I have to say that I am starting to really look forward to Amandla Stenberg’s every style move, which change so fast you can barely keep up. Her recent two looks at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday (September 9) are par for the course — meaning, completely different than each other and from any previous look.

‘Where Hands Touch’ Party: She took a certain Victorian mood with these Simone Rocha Fall 2018 bow-accented trousers — except she made the look her own by styling them with a sheer Ellery Pre-Fall 2018 top. I can’t say it’s a favourite of mine, as it strikes me as a bit drab — even on her.

‘Where Hands Touch’ Premiere: Now, this Huishan Zhang Fall 2018 feminine-edgy leather frock was more like it. She made the dress a more free-spirited version of itself by removing the sheer undershirt and styling it with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. I’m not normally a fan of reddish eye makeup. But, she made it work here.

Entertainment Weekly’s Must List Party At The Toronto Film Festival

Entertainment Weekly's Must List Party At The Toronto Film Festival

A number of stars were at Entertainment Weekly’s Must List Party during the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday (September 8) in Canada.

Maggie Gyllenhaal: It’s been some time since we’ve seen Maggie on the red carpet, but she made a sweet return in this pink Calvin Klein dress. It’s a refreshing, lighter colourway that we don’t often see the actress wear. However, I will have to choose to ignore the shoes.

Timothée Chalamet: I had high hopes for Timothée after his last look. This Haider Ackermann Fall 2018 velvet ensemble was fine, but didn’t quite have the same impact.

Cynthia Erivo: At the ‘Widows’ premiere, Cynthia wore a similar overlay design. This Stella McCartney Fall 2018 look was complex and intriguing, so I’m not surprised she shortened the original runway version to make it a bit more manageable.

‘The Hate U Give’ Toronto International Film Festival Premiere

'The Hate U Give' Toronto International Film Festival Premiere

There were a number of stars showing the love for ‘The Hate U Give’ premiere on Friday (September 7) during the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival in Canada.

Amandla Stenberg: As the starlet’s style continues to be totally unpredictable, she switched it up again with this Gucci Pre-Fall 2018 gown that was a mash-up of boho-girly floral layers with sultry corset styling. She was swimming in chiffon at the bottom, but I still love how she’s crossing the spectrum and having so much fun with fashion.

Algee Smith: I think it’s safe to say that Algee pulls off this experimental Louis Vuitton Spring 2019 look — and it’s an ‘a’ for effort, regardless. I could have done without the chain necklace.

Variety’s Annual Power Of Young Hollywood

Variety's Annual Power Of Young Hollywood

Hollywood’s best and brightest attended Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event in West Hollywood on Tuesday (August 28), where the event honoured Amandla Stenberg, and Lili Reinhart was also awarded the second-ever Variety + H&M Conscious Award for her body positivity and mental health activism.

Amandla Stenberg: From boyish, to vixen in the space of 24 hours, Amandla showcases more than a slither of skin in this red hot Chromat Spring 2017 dress styled with matching Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. I don’t know about you, but I’m really enjoying her variety of looks.

Sofia Carson: The actress was serving up plenty of girlish flair wearing a Monique Lhuillier off-the shoulder LBD festooned with feathers for dramatic effect.

Joey King: The 19-year-old actress opted to go down a semi-sexy route with her Emporio Armani Pre-Fall 2018 suit by opting to go sans blouse, and I think she pulled the look off tastefully. A Tyler Ellis bag gave her look a more business-like touch with Jennifer Meyer jewels rounding out the look.

2018 Black Girls Rock! Awards

2018 Black Girls Rock! Awards

There were plenty more gorgeous girls who hit the red carpet at the Black Girls Rock! 2018 Awards on Sunday (August 26) in Newark, New Jersey.

Amandla Stenberg: Predicting Amandla’s style is damn near impossible at the moment. But I love how she keeps us on our toes. This Thom Browne Fall 2018 striped suit sees her work a boyish look, which may look like it shrunk in the wash, but seeing how the look appeared on the runway, she managed to make it her own.

Leomie Anderson: Like Naomi Campbell, Leomie brought plenty of glamour to the event wearing a gorgeous yellow Galvan London satin dress styled with spiked Christian Louboutin shoes and Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Lena Waithe: The ‘Ready Player One’ actress was ready to rock in Prada wearing a look which was perfectly suited to her no-fuss style.

Amandla Stenberg In Prada – 2018 MTV VMAs

Amandla Stenberg In Prada - 2018 MTV VMAs

Amandla Stenberg was also at the 2018 MTV VMAs on Monday (August 20) in New York City.

We just saw ‘The Darkest Minds’ actress not even a week ago at the Sydney premiere, but a lot can happen in a few days as judged by her latest look.

For her, that meant a cute, new bob and a call to a girlish rendition of her boho aesthetic in this Prada Resort 2019 ditzy floral top and leather skirt.

Far less rebellious and far more retro-fabulous, this look continues to show that she has us on our toes when it comes to her style portfolio.
