2018 Glamour Women of the Year Awards

2018 Glamour Women of the Year Awards

There were a host of ladies showing their support at the 2018 Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Monday (November 12) in New York City. They joined Claire Danes and Janelle Monáe.

Coco Rocha: The models’ austere white Christian Siriano gown was given a whimsical finish with blue tulle adorning the sleeves. The playful detail had the appearance of feathers.

Elizabeth Debicki: The ‘Widows’ actress was sleek and supremely chic in Monse Pre-Fall 2018. The shimmering twisted fabric of the neckline made ornate jewels unnecessary and heightened the decadence of the black velvet.

CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund 15th Anniversary Event

CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund 15th Anniversary Event

A host of models and actress joined Emily Blunt to help the CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund celebrate their 15th anniversary event on Monday (November 5) Brooklyn, New York.

Shanina Shaik: This Carolina Herrera Spring 2019 dress is full of so much fun, vibrancy and youthful flair, that I had this parked on my wish list for Elle Fanning.

Karolina Kurkova: While Shanina was feeling the joys of spring, Karolina was falling forward in her Monse Pre-Fall 2018 checked skirt and sweater combo. The brand are known for their cool deconstructed designs and this look is inherent of the brand. I love the brave choice to add yet another pattern to this mix with the striped pumps.

Karlie Kloss: I’ve associated Brandon Maxwell with bold colours, that I forget that his designs can be just as intriguing in detailed black.

International Day of The Girl Child

International Day of The Girl Child

Freida Pinto, Monica Nyiraguhabwa, Michelle Obama, Karlie Kloss and Zendaya appeared the Today Show to celebrate International Day of The Girl Child on Thursday (October 11).

Freida Pinto: The Indian actress wore an Elie Saab Fall 2018 garden green dress with lace panels which made the look feel infinitely feminine.

Monica Nyiraguhabwa: The fabulous Executive Director, representing the Girl Up Initiative opted for a fit and flare dress with a glorious African print that totally steals focus.

Michelle Obama: Every time I see Michelle Obama I miss her more and more. The former FLOTUS kept things simple and elegant in a white wrap Rachel Comey dress; reminding us all that she will always picks the right look for the right occasion, as the colour white was worn as a symbol of hope and female empowerment.

Karlie Kloss: This Brandon Maxwell Spring 2019 dress has my name written all over it, from the hot pink hue to the fitted silhouette and flutter sleeve design. Karlie looks in-cred-ible.  Thisis one of her best looks in a while.

Zendaya Coleman: The actress was clearly on Karlie’s wave length in the hot-pink department. Zendaya’s Sally LaPointe Spring 2019 cashmere tee and trouser shorts felt uber cool and effortless.  You won’t be surprised to learn that she styled her look with white pumps, courtesy of Christian Louboutin.

You Tube Fashion & Beauty Party

YT Fashion & Beauty

There was a bit of everything at the You Tube Fashion & Beauty party during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday (September 26) in Paris, France.

Bella Hadid: Most people think of Emilio Pucci and think prints and associate the model with sexy, trendy looks. So, this more restrained Fall 2018 dress from the designer with Dorateymur ‘The Investment’ bag was a surprise. The ruching brings some allure.

Victoria Beckham: It’s no surprise that the fashion designer was clad in Victoria Beckham. She is her label’s best model and will likely have everyone wearing pale yellow trousers with diaphanous muted pink tops. Even with the light fabric there is still a strong sense of tailoring.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: The supermodel was in full party mode in Attico Spring 2018. It’s a fun showgirl-inspired piece that might look out of place compared to the previous looks, but others bought into the mood.

2018 MTV VMAs Model Roundup

2018 MTV VMAs Models Roundup
The models were out in force at the 2018 MTV VMAs on Monday (August 20) in New York City.

Karlie Kloss: The leggy lovely clearly was in a sexy mood, if this Elie Saab Resort 2019 double-slit metallic gown was any indication. We don’t often see the supermodel step outside her safe comfort zone, so I was happy to see her glitz and glam it up a bit. Giuseppe Zanotti sandals wrapped up the look.

Winnie Harlow: This Zuhair Murad Haute Couture gown had a distinct vintage air with the Art Deco beadwork and fringe serving up a sense of old Hollywood glamour in spite of the sheer mood. Christian Louboutin sandals, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and glitzy eye shadow matched the look.

Vogue España 30th Anniversary Party

Aside from Irina Shayk, Nieves Alvarez and Goya Toledo there were plenty more party people who helped Vogue España celebrate their 30th anniversary party on Thursday (July 12) in Madrid, Spain.

Nerea Barros: I know many of you don’t have much love for Stella McCartney, but you have to admit this creation is one of her best. I love how this simple silhouette is transformed into something special with the ruffled shoulder detail.

Karlie Kloss: As this event was co-hosted by Carolina Herrera, I wasn’t surprised to see her favourite model Karlie Kloss at this event. The model delved into the archives for this vintage Carolina Herrera Fall 2002 shimmering coat dress. As you know I’m often frustrated with Karlie’s red carpet choices, but this one is radiant and feels modern despite the vintage label.

Ursula Corbero: You’ll no doubt recognise this Balmain Resort 2019 dress, as it’s similar to the one Beyonce Knowles recently worn on her ‘On The Road’ tour.
