Jennifer Hudson made a guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday (September 26) to discuss multiple new projects, including her portrayal of Aretha Franklin in a forthcoming biopic.
Arista Records founder Clive Davis confirmed that Hudson had landed the role in January, noting that the singer-actress had been ‘anointed’ by Franklin herself for the film.
Jennifer wore a Marc Jacobs Fall 2018 plaid dress, spliced with a black panel and sleeve for a more contemporary touch.
You won’t be surprised to see Jennifer has shortened the look, as we all know she rates her legs has her best asset, as she rarely wears a dress that falls below the knees.
Djula black diamond hoop earrings and red Louboutins completed her look.
