For Tuesday night’s ‘Zola’ screening hosted at the DGA Theater Complex in Los Angeles, it would appear that not everyone got the “wear yellow” memo.
Jodie Turner-Smith, who hit the red carpet to support the stars of the film, stole the limelight wearing this Dundas Pre-Fall 2021 dress which left her with little, to no choice but to go commando.
Riley Keough’s promo tour in the lead up to this screening has seen plenty of colour, sparkle, floral prints and animal prints, so I was kinda left a little disappointed that for this event she opted for such a muted look, especially in the company of the other attendees.
Dressed in Chanel, her Fall 2021 look consisted of a classic black tweed jacket, and pink silk jacquard top, with my favourite part of the look being the hybrid faded denim and silk trousers.
Chanel accessories including their Fine Jewellery completed her look.
If you felt that Colman Domingo had perhaps peaked at the ‘Zola’ screening in New York on Friday, he just found another level.
Dressed in another suit from the Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2022 collection, the sparkling shoes carried over, but the animal print was swapped out for a bright yellow Mikado silk suit.
I can’t say that this fabric is my favourite when it comes to suiting, but there is no denying just how dapper the actor looks here…the confidence is captivating.
A selection of David Yurman jewels completed this very impressive outing.
I’m glad to see him making this look his own.
