‘Gossip Girl’ is returning, but not as we know it, as the reboot – which will premiere on HBO Max on July 8, will feature a new generation of New York private school students.
Only Kristen Bell will be returning to be the voice of Gossip Girl.
On Wednesday (June 30) Spring Studios hosted the New York premiere with the cast showcasing a wide range of looks.
I had to start with Jordan Alexander who wore the most thought provoking look of the evening.
After doing some research on Wiederhoeft I was intrigued to learn that this look hails from Jackson Wiederhoeft’s bridal collection.
His take on bridalwear is so appealing by the way it bridges the fairy tale and the everyday. I love how this look is exquisitely ornamented with bows to add that touch of romance.
I kinda don’t mind the black shoes here, as I feel the mood was to be more rebellious than romantic.
Tiffany & Co. jewels completed her look.
Chanel ambassador Whitney Peak, who is the lead actress in the series, wore an embroidered black organza bustier dress from the Pre-Fall 2021 collection.
While the black organza cape adds a whimsical feel to this outing, I would’ve saved it for a Disney premiere.

Dree Hemingway always gives me a feeling of, “haven’t you worn that before?” When in fact this The Row Spring 2021 look isn’t a re-run.
I think it’s her aura that always gives me a feeling of groundhog day.
Natalie Alyn Lind was channelling her inner Brigitte Bardot with this tailored look and bouffant.

Sarah Jeffery wore a Carolina Herrera mini dress which had a lot to contend with considering the micro length, gigantic bow and oversized polka dots; but she carried it off with ease, bringing a playful energy to this red carpet
I love Emma Kenney’s Zimmernann Fall 2021 printed Aliane scalloped top and shorts, but this doesn’t feel like a look worthy of a premiere.
It feels way too casual, which is excelled by the dressy shoes.

Kristine Froseth, who is also a Chanel ambassador, opted to eschew trend-driven styles in favour of this embroidered ecru tweed look from the Spring 2021 collection which was imbued with timeless appeal.
For me, Donna Murphy’s Bibhu Mohapatra Spring 2021 look lost its edge on the red carpet.
I’m not sure if it’s the lack of belt, or the required grooming of the overlay.

Savannah Smith wore the most simplest Louis Vuitton dress I think I have ever seen. I would’ve loved to have seen something more dynamic from the actress.
Tavi Gevinson wore flowers, but was no wallflower in this striking Stella McCartney mini dress.
Rana Roy is living my dreams, as I have been lusting over this Fannie Schiavoni Hailey open-back chainmail mini dress ever since I saw it on Rihanna.

I’m getting a strong sense of déjà vu from Lyne Renée’s Alex Vinash sheer embroidered gown.
There is too much going on, and the least offensive thing is the sheerness.
While I love Zión Moreno’s navy Armani dress, I’m irrationally bothered by the stick on bangs. Chopard jewels accessorised her look.
Much like Donna, Jessica Wang’s Galvan London Resort 2021 dress lost all its appeal once it hit the red carpet.
In this case I think the dress is too big for her so it just hangs and loses its shape.
