2022 Emmys Red Carpet Roundup
Here is a roundup from the 2022 Emmys which was held in California on Monday (September 12).
Hannah Waddingham continues to lay her trust in Dolce & Gabbana who created one of my all-time favourite red carpet looks for her at-home 2020 SAG Awards.
Hannah is a glamour girl, so this custom Dolce & Gabbana soft blush strapless gown accented with floral-embellished corset and full tulle skirt wasn’t a surprise at all.
Some might say too twee, but I love how feminine and ethereal this was.
She totally sold this to me with her styling. As always, she was a vision.
Quinta Brunson, who won the Outstanding Writing For A Comedy Series, wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana bronze draped gown featuring a bustier embellished with paillette petals.
The only thing that didn’t quite work for me were the tulle gloves. They are so transparent, that I wonder if they were needed at all.
Oscar de la Renta was clearly inspired by the 19th century when designing this custom silver embroidered gown with bustle for Sydney Sweeney.
Unlike Elle Fanning, Sydney didn’t lean into the period of her dress with the styling.
I don’t think I’m completely sold on this one. I’m still thinking about it.
Fred Leighton jewels completed her look.
Amy Poehler looked really good in this sequinned midnight blue Halston keyhole dress styled with a Tyler Ellis clutch, that I’m going to have to add to her Hall of Fame.
I’m so glad those days where she would only wear suits are over.
I was floored by both the colour and the embroidered bustier of Angela Bassett’s Dolce & Gabbana custom draped gown.
Matching Dolce & Gabbana sandals and a whimsical 90’s inspired Judith Leiber boombox clutch completed her look.
Ayo Edebiri wore a pretty pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture mini dress with chiffon train (which appears to be trending) that was accented with white floral appliqué and bows.
Stuart Weitzman sandals completed her look.
Connie Britton proved that you can never go wrong with a Monique Lhuillier gown.
The delicate ruching was endlessly flattering.
Giuseppe Zanotti silver sandals completed her look.
Ella Purnell dazzled in a Miu Miu light-blue crystal embellished dress styled with David Yurman jewels.
I love how this dress contours her body, and how the long fringe gives her look a ‘60s vibe.
It was a great night for the colour yellow as Geena Davis, who was the recipient of the Governors Award, was glowing wearing this Rani Zakhem Couture chiffon gown with a plunging neckline and beaded pearl accents.
Martin Katz jewels completed her look.
HoYeon Jung continued her love for all things Louis Vuitton.
I like the simplicity of the silhouette, as I prefer custom designs that are a separate entity from the runway.
The tweed-inspired look was styled with Louis Vuitton accessories which included a headband and pieces from the High Jewelry Collection.
Issa Rae was a vision in striking black and white Sergio Hudson, but I’m more interesting in knowing her skin routine, as I want my skin to look as radiant as this.

You can always rely on Christian Siriano to create an awards ceremony look that enables the wearer – Jean Smart – to look her very best.
I know some of you aren’t the biggest fans of the designer’s work, but he rarely misses for me.
Jennifer Coolidge, who took home the Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie award for ‘The White Lotus,’ wore a deep green custom Dolce & Gabbana gown.
When I saw the actress in this off-the-shoulder gown embroidered with bronze and gold Swarovski baroque beading, I thought she looked like a beautiful mermaid.
Not all custom Gucci gowns are created equal.
But then I can’t imagine Julia Garner wearing Olivia Wilde’s Venice Film Festival Gucci gown.
This dark velvet embroidered dress might feel a bit moody for some, but it suits her persona to a T.
Swarovski earrings and Gucci platforms completed her look.
I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity of Juno Temple’s custom Tom Ford gown.
Just when I thought that Kaitlyn Dever was going to give us run of black dresses, the actress delivers her signature awards season red moment, this time from Naeem Khan.

I’m struggling with Kaley Cuoco in this custom Dolce & Gabbana look.
Her custom pink high-low tulle gown which was embroidered with floral appliques feels like a sweet 16th outfit.
The sketch wore and styled it better.

We’ve seen Rodarte’s purple sequins before, but it’s highly enthusing to see them again on Sandra Oh in suit form.
