Gemma Chan’s Ferragamo Moment at the ‘Josephine’ Screening

Gemma Chan attended the 2026 AFI Fest special screening of Josephine in Hollywood on Saturday, swapping the colour of her Dries Van Noten look from the London screening for something decidedly more muted.

This time, she opted for a Ferragamo Resort 2027 dress in concrete-grey washed silk velvet. The softly draped silhouette and texture give the dress plenty of appeal, but what I enjoy most about Gemma’s style is that you can never predict what she will wear next.

The shade complements her skin tone beautifully, and I appreciate the understated approach on this occasion. However, my love of colour has me wishing for a different shade. I can’t help imagining this dress in a jewel tone. Emerald, sapphire or even a rich purple would have been spectacular.
