Inma Cuesta In Naeem Khan – Men’s Health ‘Men of The Year’ Awards 2018

Inma Cuesta In Naeem Khan - Men's Health 'Men of The Year' Awards 2018

Inma Cuesta attended the Men’s Health ‘Men of The Year’ Awards 2018 on Tuesday (November 27) in Madrid, Spain.

This is what happens when you take the classic blazer and dip it in sequins.

Naeem Khan is known for his love of embellishment (which is why I love him), and this Fall 2018 piece is festooned with zigzagging silver, black, red, blue and gold beads and sequins, resulting in the ultimate statement piece.

It steals so much focus that I barely notice the gorgeous black jumpsuit underneath.

A Yliana Yepez clutch and Yanes jewels completed her look.

2018 Emmy Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2018 Emmys

There were many more stars in the 2018 Emmy Awards constellation on Monday (September 17) in LA.

Madelaine Petsch: The starlet complemented her cascade of auburn waves with a Prada gown that furtively cloaked a shiny embroidered skirt under cloudy tulle layers.

Tatiana Maslany: This Christian Siriano design was inspired by the Spring 2019 collection, with the highlighter-yellow front train delivering all the sass you could possibly want. Christian Louboutin heels and EF Collection jewels completed the neon-bright entrance.

2018 MTV VMAs Model Roundup

2018 MTV VMAs Models Roundup
The models were out in force at the 2018 MTV VMAs on Monday (August 20) in New York City.

Karlie Kloss: The leggy lovely clearly was in a sexy mood, if this Elie Saab Resort 2019 double-slit metallic gown was any indication. We don’t often see the supermodel step outside her safe comfort zone, so I was happy to see her glitz and glam it up a bit. Giuseppe Zanotti sandals wrapped up the look.

Winnie Harlow: This Zuhair Murad Haute Couture gown had a distinct vintage air with the Art Deco beadwork and fringe serving up a sense of old Hollywood glamour in spite of the sheer mood. Christian Louboutin sandals, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and glitzy eye shadow matched the look.

Tiffany Haddish In Naeem Khan – 2018 MTV VMAs

Tiffany Haddish In Naeem Khan - 2018 MTV VMAs

Tiffany Haddish was also in attendance at the 2018 MTV VMAs on Monday (August 20) in New York City.

An abstract vision in black and white, this Naeem Khan gown was a study in high-contrast line design.

I will say the midway white oval shape, right below the belly button, was rather interestingly placed.

I do love how Tiffany wore the look from head to toe with her hairstyle integrating the black-and-white motif.

She also accessorized with Chopard jewels and Sophia Webster ‘Effie’ crystal platforms.

Angela Bassett In Naeem Khan – ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ Paris Premiere

The Eiffel Tower provided a beautiful backdrop for the world premiere of ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ in Paris on Thursday (July 12), with Angela Bassett in attendance.

As you all know I worship Angela, but I couldn’t get fully on board with her latest look from Naeem Khan’s Fall 2018 collection.

There is no doubt that at 59-years-old that she’s rocking the hell out of this bedazzled jumpsuit.

But one can’t ignore the gaping hole/undone zipper which appears on both sides of this look.

77th Annual Peabody Awards Red Carpet Roundup

There were a number of beauties at the 77th Annual Peabody Awards on Saturday (May 19) in New York City. They joined Rachel Brosnahan.

Yvonne Orji: The ‘Insecure’ actress opted for sophisticated separates. She wore a Naeem Khan blazer, Carmen Marc Valvo trousers, a Theory top and Calvin Klein shoes. The interplay of textures is exciting, but it still presents a harmonious finish thanks to the monochromatic colour palette and swirling lines.

Alexis Bledel: Making a statement in bright colour, the ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ actress was outfitted in Red Valentino. With so much going on, she was wise to stick with black accessories but the heavy boots are too harsh against the look and too casual for the event.

Issa Rae: Shimmering in Thom Browne, she showed a flirty side. Festooned with feathers, as opposed to fringing, increased the ethereal romance. The way the trim seamlessly blends with the silver metallic fabric shows a deft hand.

Madeline Brewer In Naeem Khan – ‘Braid’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

As the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival continues in New York City, Madeline Brewer was at the ‘Braid’ premiere on Sunday (April 22).

This Naeem Khan Fall 2018 bustier-style design was made more appropriate for the Tribeca vibe and the current season once it was shortened and worn without the decorative shawl piece.

For that reason, even with those sizable platform shoes, the look came across with an effortless gloss.

This chartreuse-green colour isn’t the easiest to wear, but I love how the metallic-embroidered, floral number radiated against the actress’s flame-red locks.

Brian Atwood shoes and Jennifer Meyer jewelry completed her look.

Tessa Thompson In Naeem Khan – ‘Annihilation’ LA Premiere

For me, Tessa Thompson was the star attraction on the red carpet for the ‘Annihilation’ premiere on Tuesday (February 13) in Westwood, California, where she joined Janelle Monae, Gina Rodriguez and Natalie Portman.

We all know Tessa as a bit of a fashion daredevil who likes to take risks, but much like the ‘Thor’ premiere, she showcased her softer side for this premiere.

Soft, yet still oozing with plenty of sartorial grace.

My reaction was two-fold:

1. Thankful she opted to line the gown and;

2. Thankful she didn’t strip any of the beguiling details from this look.

It’s not easy to make a girlie girl gown look cool, but Tessa managed to nail it once again.

Angela Bassett In Naeem Khan – ‘Black Panther’ World Premiere

Angela Bassett joined her co-star Danai Gurira on the red carpet for Marvel Studios’ world premiere of ‘Black Panther’ on Monday (January 29) in Hollywood, California.

I got a shiver down my spine when I saw the actress in this fringed Naeem Khan Spring 2017 jumpsuit as I adore the colour against her skin, and how the Maasai-inspired neckline gives the look some African flavour which was amped up with her accessories which included Vendorafa yellow gold cuffs and a custom-made Thalé Blanc clutch with a yellow gold and Swarovski embedded panther head.

The only slight downside is that the jumpsuit is complete sheer, which was very apparent when Ms Bassett let the fringe fly.

Eve In Naeem Khan – 2018 Grammy Awards

Eve was one of the first ones on the red carpet of the 2018 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 28) at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

She started the evening on top form in this Naeem Kham Fall 2017 embellished suit that was an easy win for me by nature of its elongating, crystallized stripes and modern take on Grammys glamour.

It was such a sophisticated look for Eve, who finished the ensemble with side-swept waves and a mulberry lip.

She opted to carry her white rose rather than wear the pin in support of #TimesUp for a fresh take on the movement.

You may remember that model Josephine Skriver has worn this suit before in a more boudoir-influenced presentation.

Did you like its second run?

Sarah Hyland In Naeem Khan – 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards

Sarah Hyland had a princess moment at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday (January 11) in Santa Monica, California.

There will likely be Carrie Bradshaw comparisons to her Naeem Khan Resort 2018 dress, but I’m getting more of an Audrey Hepburn feel.

There is a timeless elegance to the style with the mix of monochromatic fabrics and the understated accessories.

The skirt could have overwhelmed her petite, but the proportions are dramatic without being suffocating.

Her sleek bun and red lipstick brought the sophisticated theme home.

2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After Show Party

The 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After Party took place on Monday (November 20) in Shanghai, China, with a wide ranging mix of styles.

I decided to split them into categories this year staring with: My Favourites.

Cindy Bruna: This Brandon Maxwell Spring 2017 suit originally stormed the runway with a blouse, but Cindy made the look her own by opting to go without.  The excessive boobage might turn off some, but I’m more intrigued by the impeccable tailoring.

Maria Borges: I’m a huge fan of Maria’s style, but I was blown away when she opted to wear this Tiffany Amber gown which proudly showcased her African roots. The dress, the belt and head wrap are gorgeous, but it’s the ‘going against the grain’ statement which I find most endearing.

Jourdana Phillips: You can’t get much chicer than a cream tuxedo dress styled with gold Giuseppe Zanotti rose-gold sandals.
