VOGUE Fashion & Film BAFTA Party

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features VOGUE Fashion & Film BAFTA Party

The style moments continued at the VOGUE Fashion & Film BAFTA party on Sunday (February 10) in London, England. Celebrities joined Taylor Swift.

Jourdan Dunn: She showed off her curves to eye-popping effect in Vivienne Westwood with a Jimmy Choo clutch. The horse print adds some whimsy to the sexy style.

Eddie Redmayne: The ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ actor’s Alexander McQueen suit shows how striking monochromatic shades can be. It had more impact than the typical black jacket and white shirt.

Jenna Coleman: The ‘Victoria’ actress’s Simone Rocha dress with Jimmy Choo ‘Santina’ sandals had a moody sentiment which underscored the pleated peplum and embroidery.

Priyanka Chopra In Vivienne Westwood Couture – ‘Isn’t it Romantic’ LA Premiere

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Priyanka Chopra In Vivienne Westwood - ‘Isn’t it Romantic’ LA Premiere

Priyanka Chopra attended the premiere of ‘Isn’t It Romantic’ on Monday (February 11) in Los Angeles, California.

I’m not entirely sure this will go down well with the majority, but I do love this Vivienne Westwood Couture draped corset gown decked in pale pink sequins and gold floral jacquard, as it beautifully mixes East and West influences.

It a typically ballsy Westwood look, so this piece needed a woman with a commanding presence to pull it off, which Priyanka has.

Priyanka Chopra In Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood – The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Priyanka Chopra In Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood - The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Priyanka Chopra post-honeymoon glow was very apparent before her guest appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Tuesday (January 29).

One of the most overused words at the moment is “snatched”, but I can’t think of another word to describe the effect this gorgeous Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood Spring 2018 dress is having on Priyanka’s body.

Vivienne Westwood’s approach to unconventional silhouettes really serves the actress well, giving off a carefree, I just threw this one kinda vibe which I adore.

Silver Jimmy Choo’s and a deep pink pout completed this BDOTW worthy look.

FKA twigs In Vintage Vivienne Westwood & Jean Paul Gaultier – ‘Honey Boy’ Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features FKA twigs In Vintage Vivienne Westwood & Jean Paul Gaultier - 'Honey Boy' Sundance Film Festival Premiere

FKA twigs marched to the beat of her own drum at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday (January 25).

The singer wasn’t going to let the subzero temperatures cramp her style. She donned a glorious mismatch of prints and layers with a vintage Vivienne Westwood corset, Christian Lacroix necklace and vintage Jean Paul Gaultier coat and vintage shawl and trousers.

It is a look that is not going to suit everyone’s tastes, but it is not trying to. It’s in keeping with her aesthetic and she owns it.

2019 SAG Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features 2019 SAG Awards

The 2019 SAG Awards on Sunday evening (January 27) at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California featured countless head-turning looks.

Laverne Cox: The presenter was a beauty in red in slinky Zac Posen Resort 2019. The single chain on the front might have gotten lost with the silky drapery but it was made up for in the back of the gown with multiple strands.

Elizabeth McLaughlin: This blue J. Mendel dress complemented the American actress’s ginger hair beautifully, but the cutout with cummerbund waist reads as awkward.

Emily Osment: The ‘Young and Hungry’ actress was a lady in red. Her Rachel Gilbert gown had an Old Hollywood feel with the frill adding playfulness to the structured fabric. Atelier Swarovski accessories completed her look.

Anya Taylor-Joy In Vivienne Westwood Couture – 2019 London Critics’ Circle Choice Awards

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Anya Taylor-Joy In Vivienne Westwood - 2019 London Critics' Circle Choice Awards

Taking a pause from promoting her new film ‘Glass,’ Anya Taylor-Joy attended 2019 London Critics’ Circle Choice Awards at The May Fair Hotel on Sunday (January 20) in England.

The actress, who has been rather playful on the red carpet of late, opted for Vivienne Westwood Couture dress.

I love how the look offers a considered balance between classic feminine details and contemporary styling with metallic gold flecks applied to her hair.

You’ll either love the change of pace from Anya, or deem this look as too bridal.

2019 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features 2019 Golden Globe Awards

As you know we always do a final sweep of the red carpet before we close an event. Here are the gorgeous ladies we just had to feature from the 2019 Golden Globe Awards.

Olivia Colman: Grossly underrated, the British actress collected her Best Actress – Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for ‘The Favorite’ wearing Stella McCartney. Her split sleeves dress isn’t groundbreaking, but it was perfectly suited to her laidback, no-fuss style, with a touch of embellishment to mark the glamorous occasion. David Morris jewelry completed her look.

Marina de Tavira: The ‘Roma’ star stays firmly on my one-to-watch list with this gorgeous iridescent Vivienne Westwood Couture gown. I’m not sure this one will go down well with the majority thanks to the sheerness of the skirt, but this gets a thumbs up from me. Irene Neuwirth jewels completed her look.

Patricia Arquette In Vivienne Westwood – 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Patricia Arquette In Vivienne Westwood - 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Patricia Arquette took home the ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television’ award for ‘Escape at Dannemora’ at the 2019 Golden Globes on Sunday (January 6).

She was dressed for the celebratory moment in a Vivienne Westwood gown. The inky style exhibited all of the designer’s signatures including asymmetry and corseting. And the details showcased her figure in an exquisite manner.

I was pleased she left the neckline bare and accessorised with earrings that didn’t distract from the folds.

Sophia Webster shoes completed the elegant ensemble.

2018 Governors Awards

2018 Governors Awards

The 2018 Governors Awards on Sunday (November 18) in Hollywood, California were a star-studded affair. Lovely ladies joined Rosamund Pike and Lupita Nyong’o.

Emily Blunt: The ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ actress glimmered in a custom Dundas top and skirt with Jimmy Choo shoes and David Yurman jewels. Despite the plethora of crop tops we have seen, this sharp-shouldered style held my attention thanks to the luxurious mix of metallics.

Gemma Chan: The flowing shape of the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ star’s Stella McCartney ensemble was accented with the pleated shoulder detail. The finishing touches and wrinkles bring it down slightly.

Amy Adams: She lightened up in a whimsical Schiaparelli gown. The refined silhouette balances the girlish pink tones and heart detail. A crushed velvet Tyler Ellis clutch brought in more feminine charm.

Sandra Bullock In Vivienne Westwood – ‘Bird Box’ Gala Screening

Sandra Bullock In Vivienne Westwood - 'Bird Box' Gala Screening

Sandra Bullock was back on the red carpet at the ‘Bird Box’ gala screening during AFI FEST 2018 on Monday (November 5) in Los Angeles, California.

Her Vivienne Westwood gown showcased the designer’s signature corsetry. Plus, it had a wonderful sense of movement thanks to the orange and gold stripe snaking up the dress among the pleats.

The colours had a punky spirit that was very true to the designer but also played off of the actress’s hair and complexion.

This makes me intrigued to see what she will wear next.

Stuart Weitzman black nappa ‘NudistSong’ sandals completed her look.

Maggie Gyllenhaal In Vivienne Westwood – Autograph Collection Hotels Goes Behind The Scenes

Maggie Gyllenhaal In Vivienne Westwood - Autograph Collection Hotels Goes Behind The Scenes

Christina Aguilera once said, “I love colour. I’m not a beige kind of girl”.

While I can relate, Maggie Gyllenhaal gave me food for thought at the launch of Autograph Collection Hotels’ Behind The Scenes speaker series on Wednesday (October 17) in London.

‘The Kindergarten Teacher’ actress wore a beige on beige look that hailed from Vivienne Westwood’s Spring 2019 collection, which may not have had the corsetry, but did feature the signature draping.

What really sells this look to me?

I would say the ease and effortlessness of it all, and the warmness that the red pumps brings to this elegant look.

Beyonce Knowles In Vivienne Westwood Couture – OTR II Santa Clara Tour

Like a divine superhero, Beyonce took dazzle to another level during her OTR:II tour at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Saturday (September 29).

Unveiling this Vivienne Westwood custom-made silver sequin corseted two-piece marvel was a sight to behold, with its near impossible shine factor — accessorised by micro-sunnies.

But, it was the elongated, lustrous cape that was the most breathtaking element on stage. I loved how it wafted behind her in the utmost fusion of fierceness and grace.
