Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Oscar de la Renta – Royal Opera House Visit

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Oscar de la Renta - Royal Opera House Visit

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge was in high spirits as she arrived at the Royal Opera House in central London today (January 16).

It looks like royal purple is proving to be the winter power colour of the week.

The Duchess looked classically elegant in a purple Oscar de la Renta peplum jacket and matching skirt, styled with Rupert Sanderson ‘Malory’ pumps and an Aspinal of London bag.

Never one to shy away from recycling her wardrobe, Catherine first wore this look two years ago to the UK Guild of Health Writers Conference alongside Prince William. The styling was pretty much the same for both outings.

The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

It was a jam-packed red carpet at The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday (January 5) in Los Angeles, California, with 18 more more ladies joining Thandie Newton,  Emma StoneKiki LayneGemma Chan and Laura Harrier.

Emily Blunt: I was at first swept away by the beautiful Oscar de la Renta Pre Fall 2019 tulle polka dot dress, then I fell more in love with this look when I got to the yellow sandals.

Rachel Brosnahan: The colour of this weekend for Rachel was yellow. You were slightly underwhelmed by her Golden Globes offering, so how does this Christian Siriano Spring 2019 embellished sheath fare? The look was beautifully styled with yellow and gold Malone Souliers ‘Maureen’ pumps.

Rosamund Pike: It looks like the Pike x Givenchy union has a lot more to offer, and you’ll find me complaining following her Golden Globes outing and this flouncy Spring 2019 asymmetric dress. The only thing missing from this union is some colour every once in a while, as I’m worried this might hit a Rooney Mara “always black” brick wall. Pierre Hardy ‘Gena’ sandals completed her look.

‘Mortal Engines’ LA Premiere

 'Mortal Engines' LA Premiere

The ‘Mortal Engines’ LA premiere on Wednesday (December 5) had a range of gowns.

Hera Hilmar: The Icelandic actress brought a bohemian feeling in a Valentino Resort 2019 gown. Her styling isn’t as free-spirited as the lookbook but there’s still a carefree feeling between the floral print and tie neckline.

Leila George: She opted for sensual simplicity in a Cushnie Fall 2018 dress. The liquid fit against the round keyhole neckline is alluring, but this buttery shade didn’t translate onto the red carpet perfectly.

Julia Roberts In Oscar de la Renta – ‘Ben Is Back’ New York Premiere

Julia Roberts In Oscar de la Renta - 'Ben Is Back' New York Premiere

After a bold display of colour, Julia Roberts returned to her beloved black at the ‘Ben Is Back’ New York premiere on Monday (December 3).

She might be in her preferred shade, but there were still a number of things to take in with her Oscar de la Renta Resort 2019 ensemble with its polka dot print and asymmetrical gathers.

The black and white colour palette is cohesive but the layers don’t come together as well as I want them to. I have an urge to see the coat removed or to see the longer gown.

Graziela Gems and EF Collection jewels brought some shimmer to the ensemble.

Rachel Brosnahan Lights Up the Empire State Building In Oscar de la Renta

Rachel Brosnahan Lights Up the Empire State Building In Oscar de la Renta

Rachel Brosnahan and ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino participate in the ceremonial lighting of the Empire State Building on Tuesday (November 27) in New York City.

I’ve always loved Rachel’s style, but I’ve noticed that she has a new pep in her style while promoting this season.

Her Oscar de la Renta Spring 2019 dress was an eye-catching choice. I love how it has plenty of retro, feminine flare in its style and silhouette, yet the print gives the look a striking edge.

The second season of ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ premieres on December 5, and it has been getting glowing reviews already.

Nicole Kidman In Oscar de la Renta – ARIA Awards 2018

Nicole Kidman In Oscar de la Renta - ARIA Awards 2018

Nicole Kidman kept a very low profile at the 2018 CMAs, so I was happy to see her front and centre with her husband Keith Urban for the 2018 ARIA Awards which was held at The Star today (November 28) in Sydney, Australia.

Now. This can go one of two ways.

You’ll either love the flair this feather festooned Oscar de la Renta Spring 2019 look brings to this red carpet, or you’ll feel it’s too one note, especially considering to her hair colour.

I’m floating in the middle. But my immediate thought was this would’ve been so much better in black.

Christian Louboutin ‘Blakissima’ sandals completed her look.

What do you think?
