Celebrities at ‘The Cat in the Hat’ World Premiere
The world premiere of Warner Bros.’ The Cat in the Hat took place at Warner Bros. Studios on Sunday, with America Ferrera, Quinta Brunson and Xochitl Gomez serving up everything from understated elegance and vibrant colour to a full-skirted moment.
A Little Something Extra
Considering the colourful backdrop, America Ferrera made a wise choice with this white Rachel Gilbert Iver dress, which was always going to stand out. For me, the best features are the defined wrap waist and asymmetric hemline. But what really caught my attention was the zebra-print Zara bag with red tassels. It was an unexpected choice against such a refined dress, but I appreciate that she opted for something with personality. The red lip was another welcome addition, tying in beautifully with the tassels, while the white pumps were the perfect finishing touch.
Bold and Beautiful
Quinta Brunson, however, proved that if you are going to wear colour against such a busy backdrop, you might as well go bold, and this vibrant pink Vivienne Westwood Long Monday Pulling dress was just that. The sweetheart neckline is quintessential Westwood, as is the scribble print, and Quinta wears both beautifully. The colour is glorious against her skin tone. Metallic Giuseppe Zanotti Intriigo mules completed her look.

Plum Perfection
Xochitl Gomez opted for a strapless Meraki gown in a beautiful plum hue, and I am completely sold on the colour and silhouette is very much in keeping with the styles she tends to favour. Matching plum pumps from Femme completed her look.
