Yvonne Orji In Georges Chakra Couture – 2018 Emmy Awards

Yvonne Orji In Georges Chakra Couture 2018 Emmy Awards

Yvonne Orji was one of the first out at the 2018 Emmy Awards on Monday (September 17), joining Alexis Bledel.

The ‘Insecure’ actress beamed in a Georges Chakra Fall 2017 Couture dress. I am so pleased that she removed the embellished overlay because it allowed the sensuous lines on the bodice to be appreciated.

And I must say that there is no comparison between the fit-to-the-skin tailoring on her dress against the runway version. It’s enhancing every gorgeous curve like it was made for her.

Kate Beckinsale In Georges Chakra Couture & Johanna Ortiz – 2018 Toronto International Film Festival

Kate Beckinsale In Georges Chakra Couture & Johanna Ortiz - 2018 Toronto International Film Festival

We weren’t impressed by Kate Beckinsale’s look at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards, so I’m sure you are hoping that normal service would be resumed by the British actress for Toronto International Film Festival.

‘Farming’ Toronto International Film Festival Premiere: I feel like our opinions on this Georges Chakra Spring 2018 Couture dress will be very much aligned. The Kate we know, would’ve worn the gown, and while the short version in part looks OK-ish, the cascading white ruffle and black tulle detail looks ridiculous and a tad redundant. It only really works with the long version as it follows the length and flow of the gown. Do you agree? Wolford black tights and simple black pumps completed the look.

The IMDb Studio: This is more like it. Kate was sexy and chic wearing a Johanna Ortiz Fall 2018 top which captures the label’s superior prowess with asymmetric structures and ruffles. The top was paired with simple slacks and a pair of punchy white pumps for contrast.

Evangeline Lilly In Georges Chakra Couture – ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp’ Tokyo Premiere

Evangeline Lilly In Georges Chakra Couture - 'Ant-Man And The Wasp' Tokyo Premiere

Evangeline Lilly continued to promote ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp’ by attending a premiere in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday (August 21).

We’ve seen many tuxedo dresses in our time, but this Georges Chakra Couture Fall 2018 piece was made all the more interesting with the satin ruffle details cascading from the shoulders.

I wishes for this look were two-fold:

1. She had worn a belt like the model on the runway.

2. She opted for sleeker hair. The look feels overly fussy for this look with so much detail.

Isabela Moner In Georges Chakra Couture – ‘Sicario: Day Of The Soldado’ LA Premiere

After a week of heavy promotion, Isabela Moner had her moment on the red carpet for the premiere of ‘Sicario: Day Of The Soldado’ on Tuesday (June 26) in Westwood, California.

The actress wore a gorgeous Georges Chakra Fall 2017 Couture bronze ombre tulle gown featuring draped back cape and feather accents.

I love the mix of delicacy and drama. Perfect both for her, and the movie she is promoting.

If you remember her ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ promo tour, Isabela always knows how to perfectly marry the two extremes.

2018 Tony Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the of some of the other stylish attendees at Sunday’s 2018 Tony Awards.

Cynthia Erivo: The singer wore a bewitching black vintage lace dress which was so skin tight I could make out the outline of her belly button among other things. Thankfully there was a layer of fringe work to add some drama along with that berry lip. Fred Leighton jewels completed her look.

Uzo Aduba: I was hit by the gorgeous colour of Uzo’s Cristina Ottaviano gown before taking in how flattering the look is.

Christine Baranski: My first reaction to Christine’s Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2018 suit was breathlessness, as she looks so chic. I just wish the trousers had held up better on her car ride to the event. Nonetheless she still rocks this with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Hulu’s ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ FYC

The ladies of Hulu’s ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ attended the For Your Consideration event on Thursday (June 7) in Beverly Hills, California, serving up a range of summery styles.

Alexis Bledel: This was easily my favourite of the group. A soft knit texture and a fitted silhouette makes this striped dress a contemporary but versatile statement from Diane von Furstenberg’s Spring 2018 collection. Factor in those yellow pumps and jade-green earrings and I’m coveting this look from head-to-toe.

Madeline Brewer: Red carpet suiting has presented itself in many forms of late. Madeline threw caution to the wind by opting for this harlequin Teresa Helbig Spring 2017 sequin suit with Brian Atwood’s ‘Valerie’ pumps. If you’re having a case of déjà vu, that’s because Angela Bassett wore the full length version of this look. I love Madeline’s version as it possesses a playful, youthful spirit.

Samira Wiley: The actress wore a beautiful Georges Chakra cobalt blue sleeveless jumpsuit with a ruffle overlay detail from the Spring 2017 collection. All that was missing from this look was a yellow or orange clutch to liven things up. Maxior diamond earrings completed her look.
