Chanel x Tribeca Film Festival Artists Dinner

On Monday (April 29), Chanel hosted the 14th annual celebration for the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival Artists Program at Balthazar in New York City.

The evening honored the artists who have contributed original artwork to the award-winning filmmakers. This year’s contributing artists include Jeff Koons, Shepard Fairey, JR, Eddie Kang, Swoon,  Stephen Hannock, Jane Dickson, Fred Tomaselli, Amy Sillman & Walter Robinson.

Diane Kruger:  The German actress wore a beige fantasy tweed blazer and black jumper from the Spring 2019 collection which signals to me that the old Diane Kruger we all know and love is back on the right track.

Alexander Skarsgard: The actor stood out, not only because he wasn’t wearing Chanel, more so because he was looking very handsome in his mustard Prada suit.  It would appear that turtlenecks are trending for men this Spring, as we’ve seen Michael B. Jordan and Dwayne Johnson rock them within a week.

Chloe Sevigny: I always say that Chloe can wear anything, but I wasn’t enamored by this navy leather jacket Chanel Spring 2019 look. The fit is off, the skirt is too short and the ribbon is too childish on her for my liking.

Kathryn Newton: This might be my favourite from this event. While some may feel that the wide-leg pants belongs on the dance floor, I love the unforgettable after-dark impression, especially when paired with the Chanel Spring 2019 cropped logo blouse.

Cara Delevingne:  Rocking a classic tweed Chanel jacket and black leather pants, you can’t get more Cara Delevingne than this.

Sadie Sink:  Spring has definitely sprung for young Sadie who opted out of the “wear something black” memo.   The green, blue and pink fantasy tweed Chanel Spring 2019 look reads fresh, and youthful.  Some might say it’s a daytime look, but I love the fun she was having with this look which was styled with a Chanel beach ball bag, and Chanel Fine Jewelry ‘Coco Crush’ earrings.

Zoey Deutch:  The actress proved that classic Chanel tweed can look youthful.

Ekaterina Samsonov: Those ballet flats aren’t working with this tweed Chanel Spring 2019 tweed dress.

Grace Gummer: The actress’ style has always had a no fuss approach, so this Chanel Resort 2019 look comes as no surprise.

Jemima Kirke: The ‘Girls’ actress was also part of the logomania crew, donning a beige and black Chanel Spring 2019 two-piece styled with a white tweed jacket from the Cruise 2019 collection. Chanel Fine Jewelry and a gold clutch completed her look.

Angela Sarafyan: I would’ve loved to have seen Angela in something a look more distinct.  This  wore Chanel Spring 2019 dress feels a bit plain.

Katie Holmes: The actress opted to only wear a Chanel bag, selecting a bright red piece to stand out against her leather Zeynep Arcay suit.

Pom Klementieff:  The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ actress wore Chanel Spring 2019 look, but it was only the detailing that intrigued me.  I love shell and beaded strap that accented her dress, the matching earrings and her Chanel sand bag, but the dress itself isn’t dynamic enough for Pom.
