Diane Kruger In Ralph & Russo Couture – ‘Welcome To Marwen’ LA Premiere

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Diane Kruger In Ralph & Russo Couture - 'Welcome To Marwen' LA Premiere

Diane Kruger, who gave birth to her first child – a baby girl – on November 2, was back to work in an official capacity for the ‘Welcome To Marwen’ LA premiere on Monday (December 10).

This is hot on the heels of the front row appearances at the Versace and Chanel Pre-Fall 2019 shows in New York.

The German beauty wore an equally beautiful Ralph & Russo Fall 2018 Couture metallic teal lace dress.

My first reaction to her look was that it’s considerably sexier than her usual red carpet looks.

I’m not knocking it at all. But the overtly sexiness is hard to side swipe. Perhaps motherhood sees her throwing caution to the wind, and why the hell not?

Front Row @ Chanel Pre-Fall 2019

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature the Front Row @ Chanel Pre-Fall 2019

The Chanel Pre-Fall 2019 fashion show took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Wednesday (December 5). The front row was a sight to behold with a range of breathtaking looks.

Margot Robbie: After wearing the designer to the ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ New York premiere, the Australian beauty donned a voluminous Chanel Spring 2019 dress. With its trapeze silhouette and frills it had a light-as-air feel, but the black helped ground the look and give it a more formal finish.

Penelope Cruz: The Spanish actress might not have had the easiest time sitting in this Chanel Pre-Fall 2017 gown but the feather-adorned style made a statement. She removed the delicate pink belt, but I’m curious to see how it would have looked with a darker style.

Front Row @ Versace Pre-Fall 2019

Pre-Fall collections are perhaps seen as the less interesting or sexy of all the collections presented, but now it seems that they are just as important at Fall and Spring, with big budget shows and A-list front rows.

Following Dior Men and Valentino last week, Versace presented their Pre-Fall 2019 collection in New York City on Sunday (December 2).

Diane Kruger: What a way to showcase your post-baby figure, in a Versace Spring 2019 mini no less. I can’t say the chunky belt is working for me here, but she’s still looking every inch a yummy mummy.

Ciara: While this Spring 2019 Versace suit showcases the brand tailoring, I would’ve loved something a bit more extravagant from Ciara, but the Versace medallion necklace and ruffle hem did prevent this from being a snooze.

Blake Lively: The actress shelved her favoured suit for an iconic Versace chainmail dress from the Spring 1999 collection. I love the ’90s spirit imbued in this look from the dress to the bountiful curls. I just wish she’d eased up on the jewels.

Dior x Madame Figaro Dinner

Last weekend, Madame Figaro and Dior hosted a dinner during the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 12), with three beauties in attendance.

Diane Kruger: You might have expected Diane to wear Dior, but instead she opted for this Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2018 matching ensemble. The boxier tunic is in line with the loose-fitting silhouettes we’ve seen thus far in her Cannes run. But, the embellished attitude and queen of hearts motif sees her embrace her signature edgy-forward side. I love her candy-red lip but I wish she had opted for a sleek pump instead of strappy sandals.

Naomi Campbell: I love how regal yet whimsical Naomi looked in this Christian Dior Spring 2018 Haute Couture triple organza dress that was hand-painted and embroidered with a pleated tulle cape. With the cape overlay, it offered a more delicate side to the supermodel’s style, and a refreshing way to wear both sheer and Dior.

Bella Hadid: Speaking of sheer, Bella went for the more ubiquitous Dior look of late with this red tulle corset dress. However, despite the see-through elements, I actually found myself quite liking the sort of beautiful renegade spirit she brought to the frock with the off-the-shoulder detail that insouciantly mixed with the elaborateness of sparkling jewels. My biggest qualm was actually the mini ‘Lady Dior’ bag, as it seemed rather heavy for the diaphanous, diamond-dusted look.

Diane Kruger In Prada – Chopard Trophée

Loose-fitted silhouettes have been the story of Diane Kruger’s 2018 Cannes Film Festival adventure with her Armani Prive gown and the Viktor & Rolf trapeze style mini, so it was only natural that it carried on tonight (May 14) for the Chopard Trophée event.

The actress was the patroness of the Trophée Chopard 2018, which she presented to the new honorees, having won this prize in 2003.

Diane wore a Prada violet silk chiffon plissé bustier gown with emerald crystal and bead-embellished shoulders.

While I love the violet hue, I feel like the embellishments are too much here.

I wish it had been striped back and perhaps made thinner.

Diane Kruger In Viktor & Rolf Soir- Kering x Cannes Dinner

Diane Kruger joined Cate BlanchettChloë Sevigny and Kristen Stewart at the Kering x Cannes dinner during the 2018 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 13).

Seeing her in this cotton candy pink Viktor & Rolf Soir dress brought a smile to my face. The sugary shade coupled with the sprinkling of embellishment and gentle flare carries such prettiness and was a change of pace from her typical trendy-with-an-edge style.

The short length and silver accessories prevent it from becoming saccharine.

I appreciate that she made it her own with accessories especially as I could see her carrying off the bow slides.

Diane Kruger In Armani Prive – ‘Sink Or Swim (Le Grand Bain)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

The star-studded red carpet of the ‘Sink Or Swim (Le Grand Bain)’ Cannes Film Festival premiere on Sunday (May 13) also included Diane Kruger who joined Isabelle Huppert, Jane Fonda, Araya A. Hargate, Marion Cotillard, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Diane often opts for an avant-garde sensibility, but for Cannes she left the edginess for another occasion and relied on the magnetic allure of refined Hollywood glamour.

This Armani Prive asymmetrical gown whispered across the red carpet with dreamy allure.

I love the weightless diaphanous layers rendered in sublime sky blue, with her Chopard jewels proving their sparkling companionship to the embellished bodice.
