Ciara In Zuhair Murad Couture – Ball Of Arabia

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature Ciara In Zuhair Murad Couture - Ball Of Arabia

Ciara was the guest performer at the inaugural Ball of Arabia, hosted by Vogue Arabia magazine and Jessica Kahawaty on Friday (December 7) in Burj Al Arab in Dubai.

R&B singer wore an Imperial Russian Army-inspired look from Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad’s Fall 2018 Couture collection.

The aqua blue dress is pretty with a sultry air coming from the slit, but the sequin and beadwork on the jacket is breath-taking. I have a feeling the look wouldn’t have felt so inspired without it.

Front Row @ Versace Pre-Fall 2019

Front Row @ Versace Pre-Fall 2019

Pre-Fall collections are perhaps seen as the less interesting or sexy of all the collections presented, but now it seems that they are just as important at Fall and Spring, with big budget shows and A-list front rows.

Following Dior Men and Valentino last week, Versace presented their Pre-Fall 2019 collection in New York City on Sunday (December 2).

Diane Kruger: What a way to showcase your post-baby figure, in a Versace Spring 2019 mini no less. I can’t say the chunky belt is working for me here, but she’s still looking every inch a yummy mummy.

Ciara: While this Spring 2019 Versace suit showcases the brand tailoring, I would’ve loved something a bit more extravagant from Ciara, but the Versace medallion necklace and ruffle hem did prevent this from being a snooze.

Blake Lively: The actress shelved her favoured suit for an iconic Versace chainmail dress from the Spring 1999 collection. I love the ’90s spirit imbued in this look from the dress to the bountiful curls. I just wish she’d eased up on the jewels.

Ciara In Dsquared² – 2018 American Music Awards

Ciara In Dsquared² - 2018 American Music Awards

No music event would be complete with Ciara, so I was delighted to see the singer grace the red carpet at the 2018 American Music Awards on Tuesday (October 9) in Los Angeles, California.

If you’re anything like me you’ll be surprised that she opted to forgo her favourite designer Julien Macdonald, for something with a more sporty flare from Dsquared²’s Spring 2019 collection.

The bomber jacket-dress did a perfect job of showcasing those gorgeous legs, but nothing, I mean nothing, was going to upstage those gorgeous free-flowing curls.

Ciara In Balmain – 2018 Black Girls Rock! Awards

Ciara In Balmain - 2018 Black Girls Rock! Awards

Ciara joined Storm Reid for the Black Girls Rock! 2018 Awards on Sunday (August 26) in Newark, New Jersey.

As you know I usually worship all-things-Ciara, but I couldn’t get on board with this Balmain Fall 2018 look.

Too heavy, in every conceivable way from head-to-toe.

There’s just too much going on.

And mostly importantly. This is so dated.

She’s so much better than this.

Ciara In Dundas – Revlon VOLUMAZING Launch party

Ciara In Dundas - Revlon VOLUMAZING Launch party

Ciara helped Revlon promote their newest mascara, ‘VOLUMAZING,’ with a launch party hosted in New York City on Sunday (August 19).

The ‘Level Up’ singer wore a look from one of her favourite designers, Peter Dundas.

Her gilded leopard khaki print dress from the DUNDAS D5 collection, was given an entirely new spin from the look we saw on the runway.

The truth is, Ciara could’ve rocked either look and totally nailed it, because high-octane glamour with a sexy spin has always been her red carpet M.O.

Ciara In Maticevski – 2018 ESPYS

Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick weren’t the only couple on the red carpet for the 2018 ESPYS on Wednesday (July 18) in Los Angeles, California, Russell Wilson and Ciara were too.

Ever since her jaunt in London, I have developed a new found love for Ciara’s style – not that I didn’t like it before – but the love has found a deeper level.

On this occasion she hit all my sweet spots:

Colour, style and a sculptural elegance; wearing an attention-commanding saffron-yellow dress from Maticevski’s Fall 2018 collection.

The designer’s signature architectural tailoring really stands-out more than the colour, especially the curved, tucked detail which artfully cascades down to work a trailing hem.

I love how she selected sparkling Louboutins which added a certain chicness to the look.
