Variety’s Power Of Women: Los Angeles

Variety’s Power Of Women Los Angeles

Variety’s Power of Women event saw many more celebrities join Natalie Portman and Thandie Newton in Los Angeles on Friday (October 12).

Regina King: The actress put the capital ‘P’ in power suit when she donned this hot-pink Oscar De La Renta suit styled with Nicholas Kirkwood ‘VV’ pumps and jewels from EF Collection and Melinda Maria.

Gina Rodriguez: I love the alluring detailing of this Rasario trend-focused print dress; dotted with playful black polka-dots set against a white background for a truly fresh look. Alexis Bittar jewels and white pumps completed her look.

Olivia Culpo: The model made fuchsia her go-to colour for the evening matching her Sally LaPointe Spring 2019 sequin embroidered blazer dress to her Saint Laurent ‘Lou Lou’ bag and pointy pumps. At times Olivia’s style is perceived as a little bit too contrived, but on this occasion everything is very complementary.

International Day of The Girl Child

International Day of The Girl Child

Freida Pinto, Monica Nyiraguhabwa, Michelle Obama, Karlie Kloss and Zendaya appeared the Today Show to celebrate International Day of The Girl Child on Thursday (October 11).

Freida Pinto: The Indian actress wore an Elie Saab Fall 2018 garden green dress with lace panels which made the look feel infinitely feminine.

Monica Nyiraguhabwa: The fabulous Executive Director, representing the Girl Up Initiative opted for a fit and flare dress with a glorious African print that totally steals focus.

Michelle Obama: Every time I see Michelle Obama I miss her more and more. The former FLOTUS kept things simple and elegant in a white wrap Rachel Comey dress; reminding us all that she will always picks the right look for the right occasion, as the colour white was worn as a symbol of hope and female empowerment.

Karlie Kloss: This Brandon Maxwell Spring 2019 dress has my name written all over it, from the hot pink hue to the fitted silhouette and flutter sleeve design. Karlie looks in-cred-ible.  Thisis one of her best looks in a while.

Zendaya Coleman: The actress was clearly on Karlie’s wave length in the hot-pink department. Zendaya’s Sally LaPointe Spring 2019 cashmere tee and trouser shorts felt uber cool and effortless.  You won’t be surprised to learn that she styled her look with white pumps, courtesy of Christian Louboutin.

Jennifer Lopez In Sally LaPointe – 33rd Annual Great Sports Legend Dinner To Benefit The Buoniconti Fund To Cure Paralysis

Jennifer Lopez In Sally LaPointe - 33rd Annual Great Sports Legend Dinner To Benefit The Buoniconti Fund To Cure Paralysis

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez attended the 33rd Annual Great Sports Legends dinner, which raised millions of dollars for the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis on Monday (September 24) in New York City.

Bringing that JLo glow to the event, the superstar shone brightly in her ivory sequined look from Sally LaPointe’s Fall 2018 collection.

Some may have opted to temper the look with one element sans sequins, but if anyone was going to be able to make this work it was JLo.

Styled with the correct bra, Tamara Mellon sandals, and a touch more flare with Dolce & Gabbana’s floral plexi clutch, did this look get a resounding vote of confidence from you?

Kendall Jenner In Sally LaPointe, Paula Knorr & Tom Ford – The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Kendall Jenner In Sally LaPointe, Paula Knorr & Tom Ford - The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Kendall Jenner stopped by ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Thursday (September 6) on day one of New York Fashion Week, where she talked about her new BFF Millie Bobby Brown plus she also talked about the engagement of her longtime pals, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin.

Runway looks are great to see come to life on the red carpet, but I get even more giddy when looks are crafted from different designers like this.

Firstly, I love the mix of autumnal colours.

The fact that I currently have the flu, my body is telling me that I’m ready for Fall, so I’m was totally seduced by the lapis-blue Sally LaPointe Resort 2019 knit, layered over the moss-green Paula Knorr Fall 2018 polka dot top and Tom Ford velvet trousers.

I’m also getting a mix of eras here, with a nod to the ’60s and ’80s which I found really charming.

Factor in the yellow Louboutins and you have me lusting after this look from head-to-toe.

Anyone else sharing my love for this look?

Cynthia Erivo In Sally LaPointe – 2018 Black Girls Rock! Awards

Cynthia Erivo In Sally LaPointe - 2018 Black Girls Rock! Awards

Cynthia Erivo joined Ciara and Storm Reid for the Black Girls Rock! 2018 Awards on Sunday (August 26) in Newark, New Jersey.

What I love about her Sally LaPointe Fall 2018 look is how she made it her own, especially with the metallic lace African head wrap.

I also loved how her bordeaux Hunting Season clutch and maroon Jimmy Choo pumps followed the light-to-dark theme we saw in her sequin skirt.

Very clever styling.

Gabrielle Union In Sally LaPointe – Hallmark’s ‘Put Into Words’ Campaign Launch Party

Gabrielle Union hosted an event for the launch of Hallmark’s ‘Put It Into Words’ campaign at Lombardi House in Los Angeles on Monday (July 30), where the event kicked off Hallmark’s nationwide effort to put more caring into the world with cards.

The actress wore a three-piece Sally LaPointe Spring 2018 look in a vesty lemon hue, with the fringed shorts grabbing my attention.

When you think of fringe shorts music festival’s – especially Coachella – spring to mind, but here, it adds a contemporary twist.

Via Spiga silver sandals completed her look.

Lauren Cohan In Stella McCartney, Sally LaPointe & Prabal Gurung – ‘The Walking Dead’ Promo Tour

Following Comic-Con, Lauren Cohan has stepped up her promotional efforts for ‘The Walking Dead’ in New York City this week.

SiriusXM: On Wednesday (July 25), the actress wore a Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2018 rose-pink jacquard look. I’m confident you will dislike this look because of the trousers, as I found it hard to appreciate them too. The decision to balloon them midway down the leg doesn’t work for me.
