2022 BAFTAs Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2022 BAFTAs which was held at the Royal Albert Hall, in London, on Sunday (March 13).
This is the first time I have seen Renate Reinsve on the red carpet, and what a glorious introduction.
The Norwegian actress looked sensational wearing a custom Louis Vuitton dress featuring a beautiful guipure lace cape.
After Selena Gomez, this was my next best Louis Vuitton look of the night.

Sophie Okonedo was looking as regal as ever wearing a Valentino Fall 2022 look featuring an elegant cape.
Adding a chunky gold chain elevated the all black look.

Daisy Edgar-Jones looked beautiful wearing a Gucci glitter, fringed dress featuring soft, tulle ruffles cascading down her back.

Rebecca Hall returned to the red carpet wearing this grey-blue Dior Haute Couture Spring 2022 lamé fishnet shirt dress, embroidered with geometrical patterns in metallic Tosca beads and mounted with vintage mounted roses.
The look was effortlessly styled with a Tyler Ellis clutch, Stuart Weitzman silver metallic Nunaked Straight sandals and De Beers jewels.

Had it not been for the exaggerated sleeves, I wouldn’t have been completely sold on this Burberry velvet gown for Naomi Campbell.
It’s all very Morticia Adams, but the catwalk queen is working there.
Those jewels are divine.

Benedict Cumberbatch was looking very sharp in this Giorgio Armani Made To Measure suit styled with Santoni patent leather shoes.
Sophie Hunter seems to be a huge fan of Dior Haute Couture gold gowns this season.
This antiqued gold jacquard gown featuring crossed draping, woven shoulder and braided belt was a great selection considering her tan.

‘Bridgerton’ star Simone Ashley wore a look from Valentino’s Fall 2022 Pink PP collection. While this exact piece wasn’t on the runway, it’s recognisable from the striking pink hue.
My mind changed every time I saw a different angle of this jumpsuit. The trousers were definitely too long in every photo despite the fact that she was wearing the brand’s Tan-go platforms, and the bra was very close to giving her a wardrobe malfunction.

Lucy Boynton has always had her own unique style which is why this Chanel Spring 2022 Haute Couture dress might not be to everyone’s taste.
I would dislike this on Kristen Stewart or Penelope Cruz, but this style of dress sits firmly in Lucy’s wheelhouse, even if the Chanel shoes are a tad grannyish.

Zawe Ashton is having a moment with caped silhouettes.
They are usually of the Roksanda variety, but on this occasion she donned a beautiful pink Emilia Wickstead gown.

Ellie Bamber, the UK Chanel ambassador, selected a look from the Pre-Fall 2022 collection, which was pretty enough thanks to the embellishments and the lightness of the sheer skirt.
Everytime I see her in Chanel, I wonder what her true style is. I’ve only ever seen her wearing Chanel.

These custom Celine sequin dresses are starting to feeling a bit samey at the moment.
In this case I’m thankful for the sequins, as the design of Ella Hunt’s dress is very bland.
I’m not usually this underwhelmed by her red carpet style, but this one didn’t speak to me.

Morfydd Clark looked beautiful wearing a Valentino chartreuse embellished dress.

Lashana Lynch, winner of the Rising Star Award wore Prada black tech satin dress with asymmetrical neckline, embellished by a macro bow with shoulder train.

This eggplant Gucci dress is a better look for Salma Hayek, if you’re comparing it to her SAG Awards dress.
If I could change one thing, I would remove the lace cuffs.

Millicent Simmonds looked absolutely daring wearing an Oscar de la Renta Resort 2022 strapless gown which looked like she was standing in a medow.
Cartier jewels completed her look.

When it comes to Daisy Ridley and this Vivienne Westwood gown I struggled.
I kept looking at it and waiting to have any kind of feelings for it, but I’m underwhelmed.
I’m not a fan of the frothy skirt on her, the bodice sits awkwardly for me. And I can’t say I was the biggest fan of the hair either.
Bvlgari jewels complete her look.
