Unsung Heroine – Rebecca Hall

Something magical happened around August 30, on day one of Venice Film Festival that I believe has been greatly overlooked: the brilliance of Rebecca Hall.

Now, this wasn’t her first red carpet look, but it was the start of a beautiful run which saw her move between, mostly, Armani Prive, Gabriela Hearst (her favoured brand), Monse and Prada.

I’m not sure if this was a case of new stylist, new look; or just a rich vein of form, but it should be celebrated.

2017 Guggenheim International Pre-Party

There were many spectacular looks to discuss at the 2017 Guggenheim International pre-party on Wednesday (November 15) in New York City.

Kate Mara: The actress shimmered in a multicoloured Dior dress. Some might have preferred an opaque version, but the subtle sheer panels had a soft, unexpected sexiness. Dior pumps and a Dior ‘J’adior’ clutch let the frock do the talking.

Rebecca Hall: Turning heads in a tomato red Dior dress, the actress presented a feminine take on suiting elements. Dior black leather boots and a Diortarot clutch brought out the curving details of the black buttons.

Michelle Monaghan: Opting for refined minimalism, the American actress donned a black Dior dress with Dior ‘Amour’ pumps. An embellished Dior ‘Addict’ bag added some unexpected brightness to the ensemble.

Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program Luncheon

The Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program Luncheon was hosted on Tuesday (October 17) in New York City, with a number of Chanel-clad darlings in attendance.

Olivia Wilde: I liked where Olivia was going with the classic tweed skirt juxtaposed with the edgier spirit of the casual-mod cropped tee. It was the ill-fitting tweed jacket that I couldn’t get on board with in this look.

Dakota Fanning: Imbued with girly charm, this little frock balanced sweetness and sophistication.

Rachel Weisz: Elements of fringe and tassels offered an added moment of flair to this tweed look. Were you wishing for a contrasting shoe that was set apart from her tights?

Bella Heathcote In Victoria, Victoria Beckham & Rebecca Hall In Diane von Furstenberg – Meet and Greet at New York’s Forbidden Planet

Bella Heathcote and her ‘Professor Marston and the Wonder Women’ costars Luke Evans and Rebecca Hall attended a Meet and Greet at New York’s Forbidden Planet on Monday (October 9).

Bella Heathcote: The Australian actress looked resplendent in a printed red Victoria, Victoria Beckham Fall 2017 dress. The thick belt played up the frock’s contrasting cuffs, oversized pocket and placket. John Hardy jewels and Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps continued the red theme for a coordinated but still exciting look.

Luke Evans:
The actor chose a more casual outfit with a bright white T-shirt, dark fitted jeans and box-fresh white sneakers. I like the way he made it his own with his jewellery, including the necklaces tucked into the tee.

Rebecca Hall:
I have been enchanted by the actress’s recent appearances and she continued to captivate me with this Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2017 jumpsuit. The vivid red colour coordinated with Bella’s ensemble, but Rebecca’s look stands out on its own thanks to the white, blue and black floral print. The light pointed-toe pumps were a refreshing finishing touch.

Rebecca Hall In Dion Lee – 2017 New York Comic Con

Rebecca Hall’s recent red carpet appearances have delighted me and the admiration continued when she attended the 2017 New York Comic Con on Sunday (October 8).

The actress showed off her statuesque beauty at the ‘Professor Marston and the Wonder Women’ panel in a Dion Lee Resort 2018 dress. The navy number had a military feel thanks to the double-breasted cut and gold buttons.

However, the dress’s two slits and the sleeveless shape added a sultry touch to the tailored piece.

She chose to accessorise simply with pointed-toe nude heels with an ankle strap. I felt she could have pushed it a little more with the shoes, but I am still charmed by this ensemble. Thoughts?

Rebecca Hall In Monse – New York City Ballet’s 2017 Fall Fashion Gala

While lots of lovely ladies favored colour at the New York City Ballet’s 2017 Fall Fashion Gala on Thursday (September 28), Rebecca Hall went for a different approach with uniquely embellished white.

The actress proved she was still on a roll from the Venice Film Festival with her Monse Resort 2018 dress. The long-sleeved number had smashing details at every angle from zips that revealed a sliver of shoulder to grommets of varying sizes. The ‘piercing’ effect on some of the rings toughed up the asymmetrical skirt and snowy fabric considerably.

Silver sandals brought out the dress’s hardware while a Lee Savage ‘The Stack’ clutch added another exciting element.

Red carpets have become over-saturated with cutouts but Rebecca’s ensemble has given them new life. Do you agree?
