2022 Critics’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2022 Critics’ Choice Awards which took place in LA on Sunday (March 13), with some attending virtually from London.

Shantel VanSanten was a breath-taking wearing this strapless LBV Spring 2022 draped dress.

This was easily one of the my favourite on the night.

‘Ted Lasso’ actress Hannah Waddingham stood out wearing a two-toned Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2022 dress which didn’t have the same gravitas as her SAG Awards look.

I kinda wish she had swapped looks.

Pomellato jewels and Christian Louboutin ‘Marchavekel’ sandals completed her look.

‘WandaVision’ actress Elizabeth Olsen was a vision in this velvet Giorgio Armani burgundy jumpsuit and Cartier jewels.

Margaret Qualley is getting the most use from the Chanel Spring 2022 Haute Couture collection.

She looks ready for a tea-party.

Kaci Walfall, who was presenting at this event, wore a Chanel Fall 2020 Haute Couture tweed dress which has a lot going on, but I think she nailed this look, right down to the two-tone Chanel pumps.

Chanel Fine jewels completed her look.

Peyton List wore a romantic black velvet gown by Yanina Couture.

From the oversized cuffs on the sleeves to the peekaboo bra detail, this was one of the more interesting looks of the night.

Caitlin Thompson looked beautiful in Jason Wu Collection gown where the colour was as bold as the bow.

Demi Singleton wore a heavily embellished Miu Miu dress.

Did it need the oversized hot pink bow?

I would say yes, for the drama it brings.

Maria Bakalova wore a custom Balmain dress which was beautiful, but I did get a sense that she was entirely comfortable with the cut-out.

A Bvlgari clutch and Niwaka jewelry completed her look.

I adore the pink tulle hemline that accented Amy Forsyth’s Carolina Herrera gown.

I’m not sure the gown would have made such an impact without it.

Her hair was wrapped up in a Jennifer Behr bow.

Sarah Jones wore an Act No. 1 sultry, deconstructed champagne silk gown which was one of the more unique looks on the red carpet.

If ever there was a look that required opera gloves, this was it.

Julianne Nicholson wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana dark green velvet halter gown styled with a Tyler Ellis clutch.

Saniyya Sidney continued to present an ultra sweet, ultra feminine aesthetic wearing a Rodarte Spring 2020 pink floral strapless gown, styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Gaia’ platforms and Messika Jewelry.

Angelica Ross wore an embellished peach-coloured gown Valdrin Shahiti gown styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Metz’ sandals.

I wish this gown didn’t have a cut-out.

Ella Purnell wore Valentino Spring 2022 lime green one-shoulder pleated midi-dress styled with Messika jewellery, which is proof that you don’t need a big puffy gown to stand out at these events.

I know the majority of you don’t like opera gloves, but should Robin Thede have styled her David Koma Spring 2022 gown with them?

If you want more than just gowns from this event Hannah Einbinder has you covered.

The actress opted to rock a classic Giorgio Armani tuxedo accessorised with a cummerbund, bowtie, vintage Van Cleef & Arpels cufflinks and Christian Louboutin ‘Movida Jane’ platforms.

There can be times when looks like this feel a little force, but that isn’t the case here.

Kaitlyn Dever was radiant wearing a Miu Miu red duchesse silk gown with plunging neckline and neck tie detail styled with Cartier jewelry.

Am I alone in thinking this is her best red carpet look?
