Front Row @ Dior Men’s Fall 2019

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Front Row @ Dior Men Fall 2019

Dior Men’s Fall 2019 fashion show took place on Friday (January 18), with a host of celebrities and supermodels in attendance.

Robert Pattinson: The British actor, who was apparently returning home from war, gave us the first look at Kim Jones’ Fall 2019 Dior Men’s collection before it hit the runway. Rocking the new trend of double outwear, I have to say I’m totally buying the look from the neck down. His signature tousled unkempt tresses would’ve worked better than the greasy unwashed look he settled for.

Christina Ricci: Dressed in Dior Men’s Spring 2019 light blue cashmere double-breasted ‘tailleur oblique’ jacket, with a matching  pants, I was in love with this look until I saw…

…Noomi Rapace: From the colour to the wool and mohair canvas fabrication, the Dior Men’s Spring look was so sharp I have a paper cut from typing.

A trio of menfolk have been making waves recently, as their looks can attest.

Chadwick Boseman: At The Hollywood Reporter’s Power 100 Women In Entertainment event on Wednesday (December 5) in LA, Chadwick would not be left on the sidelines in this Calvin Klein ensemble. It was a power look in and of itself with its mishmash of plaid and patterning. It’s never a dull moment with Chadwick, and he proves that men can mix and match prints just as well as women with this quirky look.

Robert Pattinson: Dapper is the only way to describe Rob at the 17th Marrakech International Film Festival opening ceremony on Friday (November 30) in Morocco. His Dior Men midnight-navy and black tux was handsome, dark, and moody — kind of like him.

John Legend: Also going mad for plaid, the singer suited up in a Valentino design that had me falling in love with the pattern all over again as, somehow, it doesn’t overwhelm here. Naturally, he was dressed to impress at his namesake John Legend: A Legendary Christmas powered by Pandora x Express event on Wednesday (December 5) in New York City.

While we saw a lot of experimental menswear looks last week, this week it was back to the classics.

Orlando Bloom: The actor joined his girlfriend Katy Perry at the amfAR Gala in Los Angeles wearing a Canali navy blue tuxedo with worlds smallest bow tie.

Joe Alwyn: The actor looked very dashing in his blue double breasted suit with a black knit for a very suave take on red carpet dressing for ‘The Favourite’ London premiere, where he joined his co-star Emma Stone.

Robert Pattinson: After this brief experimentation with short and rubber sole shoes, Rob was back to classic suiting in a Dior Men navy notch lapel suit with a DiorMen transparent striped navy technical tulle shirt. What a shame he buttoned up his blazer.

“Give us something new”, we often say when to menswear on the red carpet, and it looks like Robert Pattinson was happy to oblige when he stepped onto the red carpet for the New York Film Festival screening of ‘High Life’ on Tuesday (October 2).

I’m sure you first thought was young Prince George, who has made shorts synonymous with his style, but I’m enjoying the fresh approach to tailoring from Dior Men which sees a reinterpretation of classic bermuda shorts and double breasted blazer featuring a button strap detail.

I was also very intrigued by the Dior Men by Kim Jones crocodile derbies with white and black rubber sole which make them appear like they’re part sneaker.

I dare ask, but does anyone else love this as much as I do?

As more events take place across the globe, we have more menswear looks to discuss.

Rami Malek: The actor joined Allison Williams at The New (Montblanc M)RED Collection launch on Thursday (September 27) in New York City. Rather than playing into the red theme he showed tailored restraint in a buttoned-up Dior ensemble with collar detailing replacing a tie.

Alexander Skarsgard: The Swedish actor looked casually cool in Prada at the screening of Netflix’s ‘Hold the Dark’ on Wednesday (September 26) in New York City. The forest green is a smashing shade with his colouring.

It’s time to check in on those men that have been out and about at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival over the past few days.

Robert Pattinson: At the ‘High Life’ premiere, Robert wore a Dior Men by Kim Jones Spring 2019 three-piece suit that had quite the dandy demeanor, especially with the floral dress shirt.

Kit Harington: Looking quite formal, Kit was polished in a Givenchy tuxedo at the ‘The Death and Life of John F. Donovan’ premiere.

Mahershala Ali: Sometimes we roll our eyes at sunglasses on the red carpet, but on this occasion, his Jimmy Choo shades really added some fun, quirky edge to this Ermenegildo Zegna Couture cropped suit at the ‘Green Book’ premiere. That teal pocket square did, too.
