Front Row @ Balmain Fall 2020

Front Row @ Balmain Fall 2020

A host of celebrities took to the front row of Balmain’s Fall 2020 in France today (February 28) during Paris Fashion Week.

The Fall 2020 collection was on the runway, but the Pre-Fall 2020 was also well represented in the front row.

Shailene Woodley:  I almost didn’t recognise the actress with glasses on.  Shailene has had a surprisingly long history with Balmain.  Her first look was back in 2014 for the MTV Movie Awards, with some more looks in-between before her dazzling look for the 2020 Golden Globes.

On this occasion cozy, stylish comfort was the order of the day, with the plaid asymmetrical skirt being the highlight.

Janelle Monae: Plaid may have dominate the Pre-Fall 2020 collection, yet I’m not surprised that Janelle bucked the trend and continued to march to the beat of her own drum in her favourite colourway.

Audrey Tautou:  We haven’t seen much of the French actress on the red carpet.  Usually dressed in Chanel, it looks like her first love is French fashion, as she selected the most Parisian look from the Pre-Fall 2020 collection thanks to the ruffles and blazer combo.

Neelam Gil: The length of the skirt ensured this Pre-Fall 2020 outfit didn’t read too mature for the young model.

Usher:  Following  the 2020 Vanity Fair Party, it looks like Usher is really into Balmain at present.  I’m not sure this jacket is working for him, but I do love the joggers.

Sydney Sweeney:  I was really onboard with the cropped nature of the three-piece suit, but I’m a fan of the boot here.  It took the look into playing dress up territory.

Jourdan Dunn:  The British model went totally off the plaid script wearing a simple, chic LBD.

Cindy Bruna:  Finally, someone made those Balmain flare work.
