22nd Annual Hollywood Film Awards

22nd Annual Hollywood Film Awards

The busy weekend of events saw more celebs join Nicole Kidman and Anne Hathaway on the red carpet for the 22nd Annual Hollywood Film Awards on Sunday (November 4) in LA.

Shailene Woodley: In recent times when I see Shailene, I feel like I should know her style by now, but it’s like she’s in the development–experimental stage at present. For example, back in 2014 when she was promoting ‘Divergent’ I don’t think she would’ve worn this Ralph & Russo jacket and shorts combo. While the look does feel fresh and new, I found the sleeves overwhelming here. Yvan Tufenkjian earrings and Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps completed her look.

Janelle Monae: I always feel like there is a theme going on with Janelle, and on this occasion I love the ’60s mod theme imbued within her tri-colour The 2nd Skin Co. dress complete with white go-go boots.

Sophia Bush: I adore the luxe texture of her animal print A.L.C. suit, but the pink ADEAM bag was an eyesore with this look. Sophia’s accessories are usually on point, so I’m really disappointed on this occasion.

Front Row @ Louis Vuitton Spring 2019

Front Row @ Louis Vuitton Spring 2019

At the Louis Vuitton Spring 2019 show on Tuesday (October 2) during Paris Fashion Week, there were almost too many LV lovelies to count — and a few good men, too.

Cate Blanchett: The hero piece of Cate’s look was clearly the statement jacket that was a glitzy constellation of embellishment — and signature LV logo-lined cuffs — to jazz up the sophistication of the moody-dark ensemble.

Alicia Vikander: As per usual, the actress effortlessly customized an LV look to her chic standards; this one bringing in boho flair with its mix of patterns, autumnal hues, and the floral tapestry coat about her shoulders. Some would say the cross-body purse was a bit big, but she made it fit right in.

Thandie Newton: The allure of this lacy dress was balanced with the tailored jacket on top. And, can we just talk about Thandie’s gorgeous hair.

Shailene Woodley In Salvatore Ferragamo & Christian Dior – 2018 Deauville American Film Festival

Shailene Woodley In Salvatore Ferragamo & Christian Dior - 2018 Deauville American Film Festival

Shailene Woodley attended a photocall during the 2018 Deauville American Film Festival in France on Wednesday (September 5), before attending the award ceremony for writer, John Grisham, winner of the Lucien Barriere Literary prize.

Photocall: Her Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2018 offers up a feminine blazer with masculine trousers creating for a harmonious, refined style. I love how the heritage scarf print silk blouse injects plenty of personality into the look, but I’m not a fan of the hairstyle here.

Award Ceremony: At last, we get to see a look from the Christian Dior Resort 2019 collection without the oversized belt. Shailene’s delicate lace dress didn’t need to the belt as her styling which included ‘J’Adore Dior’ pumps, pearl drop earrings and a chic chignon perfected her look. This her best look in a quite some time.

Shailene Woodley In Isabel Marant – AOL’s Build Series

Shailene Woodley attended AOL’s Build Series to discuss ‘Adrift’ on Tuesday (May 29) in New York City.

The Rochas gown she wore to the premiere made a big impression, so we shall see if this Isabel Marant Fall 2018 ensemble hits as many high notes.

Sleek suiting is a popular look, but her pinstriped pieces present a different finish. The western tones aren’t as obvious as they were on the runway with her jacket being worn open and belt removed. Plus, she opted for leg-lengthening ankle boots as opposed to the white cowboy ones.

The final result veers more towards equestrian, but not in a cliché way.

Shailene Woodley In Rochas – ‘Adrift’ LA Premiere

Shailene Woodley made a shimmering return to the red carpet at the ‘Adrift’ LA premiere on Wednesday (May 23).

Her ensemble at the 2018 Met Gala did not go down well so I’m hoping that this silver gown gets a better reception.

She often leans towards effortless bohemian looks, but there’s no shortage of show-stopping drama with this crinkled metallic dress.

The fitted bodice with sweetheart neckline had a subtle retro feel that plays off of the modernity of the prismatic fabric.

Did this look win you over?

Shailene Woodley In Ralph Lauren Collection – 2018 Met Gala

Shailene Woodley went for a short silhouette at the 2018 Met Gala on Monday evening (May 7) in New York City.

Clad in custom Ralph Lauren Collection, she deviated from the popular gossamer styles of the evening with a metallic top and skirt. With the stud detailing, it has an armor-like quality which is juxtaposed against the softness of the frilled cuffs.

When combined with the over-the-knee boots and her sleek ponytail, I’m sure many will be getting a futuristic sentiment from the style. It could have actually worked at the Manus x Machina 2016 Met Gala.

Shailene Woodley In Bottega Veneta – CinemaCon Presentation Of ‘Adrift’

From a distance, I barely recognized Shailene Woodley who was also at CinemaCon, attending the presentation of ‘Adrift,’ on Tuesday (April 24) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The actress has debuted a new jet-black ’do to go alongside her mauve Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2018 peplum dress.

If it were not for the allure of the cutouts at the bodice, we may have faulted the ladylike frock for being a bit lacklustre for the young star.

I do think her blush-tinged makeup was a lovely addition with additional sass offered by Stuart Weitzman ‘Square Nudist’ retro red suede sandals.

Atelier Swarovski by Christopher Kane ‘Bolster Hoop Earrings’ completed the look.
