Comic-Con 2018 Red Carpet Roundup
Comic-Con 2018 was awash with talent and inspiring red carpet looks. Here is a look at those who caught my eye.
Zoe Kravitz: The actress, who participated in the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ panel, kept things cool – as you would expect – wearing a cropped t-shirt and Prada Fall 2018 trousers with a punchy print.
Ruth Negga: The thing I love most about Ruth style is the confidence oozing from every pore. This Ulla Johnson look styled with By Far sandals, was yet another effortless example.
Jamie Chung: The one thing you can rely upon with ‘The Gifted’ star is colour, and perhaps some vibrant tropical blooms. This Alice + Olivia ‘Amos’ blouse and NBD ‘Derrick’ skirt has me dreaming of exotic locations.
Anya Taylor-Joy: You’d be forgiven if you thought this halter top and skirt combo was David Koma, but it actually hails from the Giorgio Armani collection.
Hailee Steinfeld: A part of me wishes Hailee had broken up this Prada Resort 2019 look and ditched the jacket for a more relaxed vibe. APM jewels completed her look.
Chloe Bennet: The ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ actress was pretty in pink Gucci. It might be deemed too twee for some, but I love this playful approach.
Lili Reinhart: ‘Riverdale’s’ Lili wore a summery Manning Cartell frock that had asymmetric cuts and layers, yet didn’t feel too busy.
Olivia Holt: This Emporio Armani Spring 2018 striped look was one of my favourites at this event. I love that she nailed the oversized trend without the trousers being too long, or the blazer too overwhelming. And the crop top ensured the look felt fresh.
Zazie Beetz: The ‘Deadpool’ 2 actress usually offers up some kinda quirk, but on this occasion she was serving up pure elegance in this Diane von Furstenberg polka dot high neck blouse and draped maxi skirt combo from the Pre-Fall 2018 collection.
Melonie Diaz: I love the modern edge Melonie’s sandals give to her Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2018 sophisticated look.
Skyler Samuels: Also going dotty for DVF, the actress selected a classic DVF wrap dress updated in a fresh polka dot print atop a luxe satin base.
Madelaine Petsch: Unfortunately there was nothing that I liked about this Prada look which Madelaine styled with APM jewels. I’m getting a strong dated vibe.
Sonequa Martin Green: I was all on board with Sonequa ‘s Rosa Cha bomber jacket and skirt comb, but the Cushnie et Ochs ‘Enzo’ embroidered ankle boots were a little too much for me.
Camila Mendes: I was happy to see someone in Converse at this event. I kinda feel like Converse were made for Comic-Con.
Lauren Cohan: This lapis-blue Akris dress almost gives Lauren a regal air. Styled with white Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Beya’ block heeled pumps, this look wouldn’t look out of place on a European royal.
Danai Gurira: While I prefer ‘The Walking Dead’ star in bold colours; bold prints are also welcome. Especially when crafted as beautiful as this Mary Katrantzou Fall 2018 geometric printed piece.
Lauren Cohan: The actress ha a second chance to impress at Comic-Con alongside her co-star Danai. On this occasion she wore a Stella McCartney Pre Fall 2018 which we’ve seen on Naomi Watts. Lauren chunky shoe choice didn’t work for me on this occasion.
