Uma Thurman’s Aje Look Has Me Questioning the Oversized Jacket Trend

Uma Thurman made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she discussed moving to New York City at just 15 years old and her role in Dexter: Resurrection.

When we think of Uma’s style, Prada usually comes to mind, but this time she opted for Aje Spring 2027, combining a bustier and flowing maxi skirt with a tailored jacket.

I like the idea of this look, particularly the contrast between the tailoring and the skirt, but I wish the jacket hadn’t been quite so oversized. It has that borrowed-from-your-partner-after-dinner appearance, which isn’t what I want from an outfit that has clearly been put together with more thought than that.

The pearls, however, are a lovely addition. I love how the layered necklaces soften the black ensemble and give it a little more personality. In fact, they’re my favourite part of the look.
