Art Of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Art Of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more gorgeous girls who joined Sofia Carson, Lily Collins and Dita von Teese on the red carpet at Art Of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala on Saturday (January 5) in Los Angeles, California.

Emily Ratajkowski: The event was co-hosted by Dundas, so I wasn’t surprised to see his favourite girl Emily Ratajkowski wearing this fiery piece. I love the bold hue and delicate draped detail. We all know that Emily can sometimes go overboard with her red carpet look, but I didn’t find myself eye-rolling this look, unlike her first outing in Dundas.

Bonnie Wright: It’s been a long while since I have featured Bonnie Wright, but she made a return to the red carpet for this event wearing a vintage ’60s Pauline Trigère dress from Happy Isles, styled with fair trade jewels from Wright & Teague. I really love the autumnal mix of gold, orange and grey on this brocade dress. The style is perfectly suit to Bonnie no-fuss red carpet M.O.

Soo Joo Park: The model was perhaps one of my favourites at this event striking a pose in Dundas Spring 2019. The stunning blazer, which wouldn’t look out of place in Elton John’s closet, was oozing ’80s sensibility with the bright pink bow.

FOX Summer TCA 2018 All-Star Party

When you think of summer parties, dainty summery dresses spring to mind, but these foxy ladies had other ideas for the FOX Summer TCA 2018 All-Star Party held at the SoHo House on Thursday (August 2) in West Hollywood, California.

Fergie: ‘The Four’ presenter became the third person to wear this Fendi logomania top and trouser combo following Olivia Munn and Mary J Blige. This my least favourite outing of this look due to the styling.

Jamie Chung: Speaking of things that come in threes, Jamie is also the third person to wear this Cinq à Sept Clemence embroidered dress after Emmanuelle Chriqui and Victoria Justice. Jamie usually brings something new to the table, so I was a little underwhelmed – for the first time – by this look. I can’t say I’m too fond of the bag with this look either.

Meghan Trainor: Our introduction to Victoria Hayes was via retro inspired suits, but it looks like there’s more to the collection than we assumed. Meghan’s metallic Fall 2018 trench coat defiantly caught my eye, just as much as her Olgana Paris ‘Amazone’ signature sandals. Summer party? Perhaps not, but an intriguing look nonetheless.

Entertainment Weekly Hosts Its Annual Comic-Con Party

After spending hours promoting their film and TV shows, celebs let their hair down at Entertainment Weekly’s Comic-Con Bash on Saturday (July 21) in San Diego, California.

Madelaine Petsch: I much prefer this dainty Monique Lhuillier Fall 2018 dress styled with ruby René Caovilla red pumps over the edgy look she tried to sell me during the day events. Summery and feminine; this feels more suited to her style.

Cole Sprouse: If you’re thinking that the actor was bold to pair this Bottega Veneta Fall 2018 red blazer and printed shirt. You’ll be interested to know that he could’ve gone further with the runway yellow trousers. But black works perfectly for a more refined look.

Lili Reinhart: The actress was oozing sensual elegance in her Ralph Lauren Pre-Fall 2018 Collection peony silk satin slip dress.

Comic-Con 2018 Red Carpet Roundup

Comic-Con 2018 was awash with talent and inspiring red carpet looks. Here is a look at those who caught my eye.

Zoe Kravitz: The actress, who participated in the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ panel, kept things cool – as you would expect – wearing a cropped t-shirt and Prada Fall 2018 trousers with a punchy print.

Ruth Negga: The thing I love most about Ruth style is the confidence oozing from every pore. This Ulla Johnson look styled with By Far sandals, was yet another effortless example.

Jamie Chung: The one thing you can rely upon with ‘The Gifted’ star is colour, and perhaps some vibrant tropical blooms. This Alice + Olivia ‘Amos’ blouse and NBD ‘Derrick’ skirt has me dreaming of exotic locations.

Jamie Chung In Veronica Beard – ‘The Pop Shop By Vita Coco’

Jamie Chung hosted the experiential pop-up ‘The Pop Shop By Vita Coco’ with an intimate launch party in SoHo on Thursday (July 19) in New York City.

Expressive, dramatic and lust-worthy in red I love how the peaked lapels and padded shoulders on her Veronica Beard suit serve to sharpen the angles of the overall look.

We’ve seen recently that wide-leg trousers can result in a rather sloppy finish if they are too long, but Jamie managed to work look perfectly where the length was long enough to work that nonchalant vibe she was going for.

Jamie Chung In Self-Portrait – Yardbird Southern Table & Bar Los Angeles Grand Opening

Jamie Chung celebrated the grand opening of Yardbird Southern Table & Bar Los Angeles last week on Thursday (April 5).

If the flirty, feminine ruffles of this Self-Portrait Spring 2018 polka-dot top look familiar, it’s because Beyonce recently wore it.

However, even though it had its full moment in the sun with Queen Bey, you won’t find me complaining at all at its second appearance.

I love the sweet charm that Jamie brought to the look—also pairing the top with distressed denim, but in a more prim-chic and sweetly polished mood.

I was also a fan of the strappy magenta sandals and her berry-pink lip to fully celebrate the hue of the polka dots.

SXSW Conference and Festival Weekend Roundup

A number of other stars were in Austin, Texas this past weekend for the start of the 2018 SXSW Conference and Festival. Here’s a look at what they were wearing.

Carla Gugino: The actress was a beauty in blue at the ‘Elizabeth Harvest’ premiere on Saturday (Marh 10) with this vibrant, high-low variation on the iconic Diane von Furstenberg floral wrap dress. I probably would have opted for a different shoe to let her red lip and matching envelope clutch be the accessories of note, rather than bring in the additional metallic shine factor.

Jamie Chung: Making a case for colourful stripes, this was such a graphically intrepid Ronny Kobo dress—and I loved its slightly dizzying effect at the ‘1985’ premiere on Friday (March 9).

AJ Michalka: At the ‘Support the Girls’ premiere on Friday (March 9), AJ turned up the charm in a Markarian ‘Theres’ dress. The only thing about this look was that I felt the black peep-toe shoes dragged it down somewhat.

Stuart Weitzman’s Fall 2018 Presentation

Lovely ladies put their best foot forward at the Stuart Weitzman Fashion Week Cocktail Party on Thursday (February 8) in New York City.

Doutzen Kroes: Not shying away from making a statement, the Dutch model was clad in an Ingorokva coat and Stuart Weitzman ‘Histyle’ boots. The patent black trench plays off the scrunched effect of the red leather footwear. This is a tricky silhouette to pull off and needed someone of her stature to do it.

Solange Knowles: The singer had plenty of interest in her ensemble with the sharp lines of the Mugler Resort 2018 separates, the Stuart Weitzman ‘Shoebox’ clutch and ‘Eventually’ pumps, and mismatched earrings. I must admit that my eye is still drawn to her pale blonde afro. It had a halo quality in the way it framed her face.

Camilla Belle: Channeling soft sensuality, she wore an Adeam Spring 2018 dress with Stuart Weitzman ‘Alterego’ pumps and John Hardy jewels. It has a retro sentiment without becoming cliché thanks to the cool-toned colour palette and injection of bright pink lipstick.

Entertainment Weekly’s Screen Actors Guild Awards Celebration Red Carpet Roundup

The stars came out in full force for Entertainment Weekly’s Screen Actors Guild Awards Celebration on Saturday (January 20).

Crystal Reed: There’s a lot to love about Crystal’s Dion Lee Spring 2018 look, but the pleated skirt steal the show for me. I love the overlay that gives it a dual-color effect.

Tommy Dorfman: I’ve always been wholly on-board with Tommy’s obvious love of fashion and willingness to experiment, but I literally can’t even with this. I feel like the entire thing is just trying too hard, and is completely unflattering.

Sarah Hyland: This velvet and satin asymmetrical Self Portrait Fall 2017 gown is as fun and perky and Sarah herself. And us usual, Sarah’s hair and makeup team knocked it out of the park.

Jamie Chung In Ermanno Scervino – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Jamie Chung was in attendance at the 75th Annual Golden Globes Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California. She joined Allison Williams and Sadie Sink.

The ‘Once Upon a Time’ actress’s love of fashion is apparent with many of her red carpet looks, and it seems she’s having fun here.

For the awards, she opted for an Ermanno Scervino dress. The uneven tulle skirt and contrasting patent bodice updated the traditional prom silhouette.

The hint of exposed lace in the skirt’s slit added a sultry lingerie element.

The two different colored Sophia Webster shoes might be missed because of the long skirt tails, but the Chopard jewels shined brightly.

2018 Winter TCA Tour FOX All-Star Party

The 2018 Winter TCA Tour FOX All-Star Party on Thursday (January 4) in Pasadena, California had many delightful looks.

Jordana Brewster: The actress shone in a David Koma mini. The black base and armor-like embellishment had an edgy feel which I think she could have pushed further with the shoes. I’ll give her a pass because the sandals do suit the simple shape.

Jamie Chung: The ‘Once Upon a Time’ actress opted for a Veronica Beard Spring 2018 suit. The vertical stripes have a flattering elongating effect, but the belt negates it. I appreciate how the detail was tied in with the clutch, but I wish the belt had been removed entirely.

Olivia Macklin:
Shimmering in an Off-White dress adorned with blue paillettes, the ‘Young Pope’ actress made quite the statement. Black Jimmy Choo shoes and a Jeffrey Levinson clutch balanced the textured fabric. Sadly, the shorter hem in the back and lining are throwing me off slightly.

Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates ‘ICONS By Carine Roitfeld’

The list of lovelies at Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates ‘ICONS By Carine Roitfeld’ on Friday (September 8) in New York City was seemingly unending, as a number of stars joined Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, and Kim Kardashian.

Gigi Hadid: Her hyper-embellished Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2017 ensemble, styled with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, was so intricate and powerful of a statement that it really didn’t require the rhinestone clogs.

Kaia Gerber: Cindy Crawford’s model daughter was all grown up in a slinky Kristian Aadnevik Fall 2017 mini that had her looking like her mom more and more.

Kendall Jenner: There was little left to the imagination in this Dolce & Gabbana ruched, sheer number. Yet, ironically in spite of the see-through, I couldn’t help but still get a certain sophisticated, glam vibe with the look, which I will chalk up to its silhouette along with Kendall’s Old-Hollywood waves, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and Jimmy Choo sandals.
