2019 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features 2019 Golden Globe Awards

As you know we always do a final sweep of the red carpet before we close an event. Here are the gorgeous ladies we just had to feature from the 2019 Golden Globe Awards.

Olivia Colman: Grossly underrated, the British actress collected her Best Actress – Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for ‘The Favorite’ wearing Stella McCartney. Her split sleeves dress isn’t groundbreaking, but it was perfectly suited to her laidback, no-fuss style, with a touch of embellishment to mark the glamorous occasion. David Morris jewelry completed her look.

Marina de Tavira: The ‘Roma’ star stays firmly on my one-to-watch list with this gorgeous iridescent Vivienne Westwood Couture gown. I’m not sure this one will go down well with the majority thanks to the sheerness of the skirt, but this gets a thumbs up from me. Irene Neuwirth jewels completed her look.

Julia Roberts In Stella McCartney – 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Julia Roberts In Stella McCartney - 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Those who were hoping to see trousers at the 2019 Golden Globes on Sunday (January 6) will likely be pleased with Julia Roberts’ ensemble.

The ‘Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama’ nominee merged an understated neutral gown with tailored trousers in custom Stella McCartney.

It had the potential to look contrived but on her it appears completely effortless.

Premiere Of Netflix’s ‘Dumplin’

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature the Premiere Of Netflix's 'Dumplin'

The premiere of Netflix’s ‘Dumplin’ on Thursday (December 6) in Los Angeles, California brought some understated sparkle to the red carpet.

Jennifer Aniston: The actress knows what works for her and doesn’t often stray too far away from that. This Stella McCartney mini showcases her fondness for black as well as her toned pins. Although bedecked with sequins, it still has an effortless minimalist feel that’s in her wheelhouse. Fred Leighton jewellery and a Valextra clutch rounded out the dazzling look.

Odeya Rush: Her costar also opted for black but added a pop of pink with her Giorgio Armani separates. There’s plenty of interest in the top with the banding continuing to an open back, but the proportions and mix of materials feel slightly off.

Georgie Flores: The ‘Famous In Love’ actress projected a sweet sentiment in Markarian Fall 2018. It was a more feminine take on a slip dress with the seamed waist and delicate embroidery. The detailed accessories played into the soft feeling.

2018 Governors Awards

2018 Governors Awards

The 2018 Governors Awards on Sunday (November 18) in Hollywood, California were a star-studded affair. Lovely ladies joined Rosamund Pike and Lupita Nyong’o.

Emily Blunt: The ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ actress glimmered in a custom Dundas top and skirt with Jimmy Choo shoes and David Yurman jewels. Despite the plethora of crop tops we have seen, this sharp-shouldered style held my attention thanks to the luxurious mix of metallics.

Gemma Chan: The flowing shape of the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ star’s Stella McCartney ensemble was accented with the pleated shoulder detail. The finishing touches and wrinkles bring it down slightly.

Amy Adams: She lightened up in a whimsical Schiaparelli gown. The refined silhouette balances the girlish pink tones and heart detail. A crushed velvet Tyler Ellis clutch brought in more feminine charm.

2018 Evening Standard Theatre Awards

2018 Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Elegance and drama were common themes at the 2018 Evening Standard Theatre Awards on Sunday (November 18) in London. Celebrities joined Jenna Coleman, Claire Foy and Letitia Wright.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge: The evening’s presenter was perfectly coordinated with the backdrop in custom Richard Quinn, Gina shoes and Cartier jewelry. She still shone in her own right thanks to the alluring draped neckline and rich explosion of colourful blooms.

Sophie Okonedo: The winner of the Natasha Richardson Award for Best Actress projected ladylike refinement in Emilia Wickstead Fall 2018. It might not have been an obvious red carpet choice, but I am caught up with the open neckline and how the shoulders merge into the choker detail.

Suki Waterhouse: In Brock Collection Spring 2019, she presented a more unabashed vintage femininity than her typical style but she radiates in the outfit. The flared hem balances the oversized sleeves for a charming finish.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex In Stella McCartney & Givenchy – Remembrance Festival & Remembrance Sunday

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex In Stella McCartney & Givenchy - Remembrance Festival & Remembrance Sunday

Like Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, the mum-to-be was out attending Remembrance Day events over the weekend in London. First of all, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex attended the Remembrance Festival on Saturday (November 10) followed by a Remembrance Sunday event.

Remembrance Festival: She pulled a royal rewear and donned a Stella McCartney coat which she previously wore back in January. The belted style worked for her burgeoning baby bump and the somber colour was a respectful choice for the occasion. She completed the elegant look with a Stella McCartney clutch, Manolo Blahnik shoes — and tights. She’s back wearing them after not wearing them during her tour of Australia.

2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After-Party

2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show After-Party

The 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place in New York on Thursday (November 8), with a performance from Rita Ora.

Following the show was the after-party; where a host of models served up the expected sheer, mini and slashed dresses, but there were also a few surprises.

Candice Swanepoel: The model was looking not-so angelic in Khyeli Spring 2019 Couture. As sheer dresses go, I love the beaded detailing.

Liu Wen: The model never goes the sheer route, but she did on this occasion wearing a look from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini’s Spring 2019 collection.

Toni Garrn: This golden girl managed to leave something to the imagination in her draped chain metal dress styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.
