Beyonce Knowles In Atelier Versace, Mary Katrantzou, Balmain & Ashi Studio – Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100

Beyonce Knowles In Atelier Versace, Mary Katrantzou, Balmain & Ashi Studio - Global Citizen Festival Mandela 100

The Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 was held at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa on Sunday (December 3) — and Beyonce headlined the event honouring the late Nelson Mandela with her husband, JAY-Z, during a 90-minute performance.

As could be expected, Queen Bey not only slayed the song list but also her slew of custom looks — with some paying direct tribute to Africa.

Making an entrance took on new meaning with this custom-made Atelier Versace second-skin jumpsuit that was bold not only in hue but also in form with its cut-outs and safety-pin accents inspired by the heritage of the iconic Versace safety pin and the new Pre-Fall collection. The matching sunny-yellow fedora and wispy cape-like robe only added to the sultry, dramatic form of this stage-ready look.

Kareena Kapoor Khan In Mary Katrantzou – ‘Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle’ Mumbai Premiere

Kareena Kapoor Khan In Mary Katrantzou - 'Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle' Mumbai Premiere

The ‘Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle’ premiere took place on Sunday (November 25) in Mumbai, India.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who lends her voice as the shrewd python Kaa, dazzled at the premiere in Mary Katrantzou.

Her dress, inspired by the Fall 2018 collection entitled ‘Interior Lives’, was saturated sequins that shimmered with oil-slick colours, exuding an inimitable iridescence while depicting a window frame with draped curtains.

The dress is beautiful, but I found myself more mesmerized by Kareena’s beauty. Her skin is absolutely radiant here.

‘Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle’ will be released on Netflix on December 7. It will be given a limited theatrical release, beginning November 29, in the UK and the US.

This look has been previous worn by Kylie Minogue.

Naomie Harris Is InstaGlam In Mary Katrantzou

‘Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle’ global release is set for December 7 on Netflix, plus an expanded theater release in the US and UK.

The film voice stars Christian Bale as panther Bagheera, Cate Blanchett as snake Kaa, Benedict Cumberbatch as tiger Shere Khan, Freida Pinto as village woman Messua, Tom Hollander as hyena Tabaqui, Peter Mullan as alpha wolf Akela, Matthew Rhys as hunter John Lockwood and Naomie Harris as wolf mother Raksha.

Naomie promoted the new film on her Instagram on Saturday (November 24), showcasing a look from Mary Katrantzou’s Spring 2019 collection.

Mary Katrantzou’s eclectic aesthetic has always been defined by her bold use colours and this dress is a fresh expression of that vibrant energy.

I love tribal feel of this embellished mesh objets d’art dress which tied in perfectly with the film.

Naomie didn’t let us down in the shoe department, selecting a confetti pair which added a touch more flair.

Cynthia Erivo In Mary Katrantzou – ‘Widows’ New York Special Screening

Cynthia Erivo In Mary Katrantzou - 'Widows' New York Special Screening

Cynthia Erivo was a vision in pattern at the ‘Widows’ New York special screening on Sunday (November 11).

Her billowing Mary Katrantzou Spring 2019 dress showcased the designer’s mastery of prints and brought something exciting with every turn.

I wish the style was raised to the runway length because it’s neither here nor there and would have better showcased the uneven hem.

Her beauty look was as bold as the design on her gown between the vivid eyeliner and plaited updo.

2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 4 copy

Here is a roundup from the 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel on Tuesday (October 30) in London.

Ellie Bamber: Was this a case of third time’s the charm, when this Chanel Pre-Fall 2018 look has already been successfully mastered by Keira Knightley and Tilda Swinton, or three strikes and your out?

Adwoa Aboah: Pop art was a way to rebel against the art establishment, just as Mary Katrantzou’s prints rebel against mundane colour combinations. You may not love the shape of this Spring 2019 dress, but you have to admire the artistry, and the additional green clutch and blue Louboutins Adwoa brought to this look.

Jenna Coleman In Mary Katrantzou – 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Jenna Coleman In Mary Katrantzou - 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Jenna Coleman joined a host of stars at the 2018 Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel on Tuesday (October 30) in London.

The British actress wore a look from Mary Katrantzou’s Spring 2019 10th year anniversary collection, which draws on her Spring 2013 collection that she did on stamps.

This look is definitely sitting in the “something new” spectrum for Jenna, but then I feel like she has been experimenting with different styles for a short while which her Emilia Wickstead and Chloe looks can attest to.

From a graphic perspective this look feels chic and edgy at the same time. From a style perspective, I wish she had worn her hair up.
