Rila Fukushima In Louis Vuitton – ‘Ghost In The Shell’ Tokyo Premiere

Rila Fukushima was also at the ‘Ghost In The Shell’ premiere in Tokyo on Thursday (March 16), where she joined Scarlett Johansson.

Here, Rila gave us another look at the Louis Vuitton Spring 2017 collection, which has proven a bit troublesome to translate off the runway on some occasions.

Not so here, though, as she did so with relative ease, commanding the sheer gown with sophisticated flair.

The underskirt didn’t even take away too much from the look, which was just as strongly finished with a deep crimson lip for added power.

You may remember seeing similar this bold-shoulder shape through the bodice on previous Louis Vuitton looks from Michelle Monaghan and Karlie Kloss.

Felicity Jones In Olivier Theyskens – Three Empire Awards

Felicity Jones was also in the star-studded mix at the Three Empire Awards on Sunday (March 19) in London, where she took home the trophy for Best Actress.

The event saw a range of looks, with Felicity’s Olivier Theyskens Spring 2017 frock prizing a sense of flirty femininity mixed with a dash of retro-mod charm.

The sweetness of the sheer polka dot overlay was tempered by the shorter dress underneath, with a black sash defining the waist.

Did you like the lighter spirit of the white version over the runway’s black presentation?

Ellen Pompeo In Elie Saab – PaleyFest In LA

Ellen Pompeo was at the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ screening and panel, held during PaleyFest in LA on Sunday (March 19).

Elie Saab looks are generally a red-carpet win, so I was surprised to see that this ensemble fell rather flat.

The combination of feminine lace and masculine tailoring can be quite alluring, but here there was more frump than anything else.

I blame a few things, including the sad, washed-out colour palette; the strange bagginess of the sheer lace blouse; and the seemingly ill-fitting trousers.

The geometric-patterned, ankle-tie shoes unfortunately seemed out of place, as well.

Laura Dern In Proenza Schouler – ‘Wilson’ NYC Premiere

Laura Dern was at the New York City premiere of ‘Wilson’ on Sunday (March 19).

Offering a more casual take on premiere dressing, this Proenza Schouler Spring 2017 frock featured a laid-back attitude with its ribbed texture and handkerchief hem.

Tall black boots kept the effortless vibe going, with the actress topping the minimal-chic look off with lovely waves and rose-tinged cheeks and lip.

Gabrielle Union-Wade In Naeem Khan – ‘A Night On The RunWade’ Fundraiser

Gabrielle Union-Wade attended A Night on the RunWade event in Chicago on Sunday (March 19), where husband Dwyane Wade’s favoured designer Dsquared² presented looks in a fashion show.

This Naeem Khan Spring 2017 gown was all about sleek seduction married with the vibrant glory of its big and bold floral blooms.

What I love is how Gabrielle rocked it with her own personal strength of style, lending a unique sense of power to the dress.

It was beautiful on her silhouette and only came alive more with her bright rose-red lip and edgy cropped bob.

2017 Rose Ball Red Carpet Roundup

The 2017 Rose Ball in Monaco ushered in all-out glamour on Saturday (March 18) in support of the Princess Grace Foundation.

Charlotte Casiraghi
: Fashion royalty herself, Charlotte was stunningly outfitted in a vintage Chanel gown with embroidered sheer black overlay. Perhaps channeling her grandmother Grace Kelly’s classic style, she maintained the beauty of old Hollywood glamour in her glossy finger waves and matte red lip.

Princess Caroline of Hanover
: A striking confection if there ever was one, this Chanel creation was the epitome of elegance-meets-whimsicality. With its frill of exploded ruffles, brooch-clad collar neckline, and mixed bag of swirling prints, this was a look meant to thrill with its full-on fashion extravagance.

Beatrice Borromeo: With a lovely, embellished Alberta Ferretti navy gown, Beatrice’s look was the most subtle of the three. Even so, her necklace was an odd complement to the sheer neckline and the statement earrings. Extravagance is one thing, but these two jewelry pieces simply competed with each other and neither won.

Jessica Chastain In Prada – ‘The Zookeeper’s Wife’ NYC Screening

Jessica Chastain attended a special screening of ‘The Zookeeper’s Wife’ on Sunday (March 19) in New York City.

Managing the in-between season of winter and spring, she relied on the richness of the velvet trend in this Prada Fall 2016 dress.

While the mahogany-bronze hue was dark, the glistening embellishment helped bring a slight twinkle to the look.

The pumps may have had a holographic tint, but even so, these fell to the lacklustre side.

I love to see the actress in vivid hues, as she wears them so well. However,  this was still a refined if forgettable moment.
