Elle Fanning’s Effie Trinket Wardrobe Just Keeps Getting Better

Elle Fanning joined Mckenna Grace in London for another The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping event, where her Effie Trinket-inspired fashion continued to be one of the highlights of this press tour.

Elle has always been one of Alessandro Michele’s favourites, and the designer has married her romantic style sensibilities with Effie’s eccentric personality perfectly in this custom Valentino Haute Couture look.

The pastel-pink skirt suit, with its pleated detailing and oversized ivory bow, has all the sweetness we associate with Elle, while the accessories introduce the playful eccentricity of her character. It’s a combination that feels so natural for her, and I love how Alessandro has interpreted Effie without losing what makes Elle’s personal style so appealing.

And that makes three hats out of three appearances. While this butterfly-adorned beret is considerably less elaborate than the Robert Wun Couture headpiece she wore to the London premiere, the butterflies, which also decorate her lace gloves, continue the nature theme we’ve seen throughout this press tour.

Even her custom Valentino Garavani Sinead cap-toe d’Orsay pumps were made to complement the pink-and-ivory colour palette, completing a look where every accessory contributes to the Effie story.

I don’t think I’ll ever tire of Elle’s Effie energy. She’s playing the part so well off-screen that I’m now even more eager to see her portrayal on-screen.
