Hiba Abouk In Christian Dior – 65th San Sebastian Film Festival Closing Gala

Hiba Abouk attended the closing gala for the 65th San Sebastian Film Festival at Kursaal on Saturday (September 30) in Spain.

Christian Dior has presented many sheer dress in recent collections with logo emblazoned underwear, but the Spanish actress proved that lining a look, doesn’t necessarily mean killing the look.

In fact the look is vastly improved as the rich embroidery really shines against the dense background.

This look is a perfect reflection of the present season bringing to mind romantic walks in a park as the leaves turn orange and brown.

Penelope Cruz In Atelier Versace – ‘Loving Pablo’ San Sebastian Film Photocall

Penelope Cruz went ultra glam for the ‘Loving Pablo’ photocall during 65th San Sebastian Film Festival on Saturday (September 30) in Spain wearing Atelier Versace.

As you would expect from any Atelier Versace gown there were plenty of sultry elements, however, I have a feeling that some might object the slit and the bare shoulder; wishing for one or the other.

I would’ve preferred this look sans sleeve and an updo rather than the ponytail.

Monica Bellucci In Valentino – 65th San Sebastian Film Festival: Donostia Award

Monica Bellucci received the Donostia Award during 65th San Sebastian Film Festival on Wednesday (September 27) in Spain.

The Italian actress is a lover of all things black, but she will throw us a red or green curve ball every once in a while.

On this occasion her colour of choice was rose-pink, and I’m instantly smitten.

Some might say this is Valentino dress is dated, but I only see the beauty in this piece with its swathes of silk chiffon pleats which bring a lightness that is impossible to resist.

I especially love the delicate sleeves, that give the silhouette intrigue and augment the floaty, feminine allure.

In short, J’Adore.

Cartier jewels completed her look.

Anya Taylor-Joy In Elie Saab – ‘Marrowbone’ San Sebastian Film Festival Premiere

Judging by Andrea Riseborough, Marion Cotillard and Anya Taylor-Joy, September seems to be the right time to change your hair colour.

Anya showcased her new darker locks during the ‘Marrowbone’ San Sebastian Film Festival premiere on Wednesday (September 27).

I love the intense hue of this lace detailed green Elie Saab Resort 2018 dress trimmed with girlish ruffles for added volume and feminine finesse.

With some much going on with the gown, there was little need for anything else so Anya totally play this one right.

Barbara Lennie In Christian Dior – Max Factor Award

Spanish actress Barbara Lennie received the Max Factor Award during the San Sebastian Film Festival on Wednesday (September 27) in Spain.

Continuing her fest looks in fine form, she was classically sophisticated in a Christian Dior Fall 2017 metallic constellation-esque skirt that you may recognize as the same skirt that Natalia Vodianova wore just recently.

Yet, I love how Barbara opted to skip the tailored jacket in favour of the glittery turtleneck for a different variation that provided subdued shimmer and utmost sophistication.

Would you agree?

Maria Dragus In Aquascutum & Escada & Christian Dior – ‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ San Sebastian Film Festival Premiere

Maria Dragus turned heads day and night at the San Sebastian Film Festival. First, attending the ‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ photocall on Monday (September 25). Later that day, the German-Romanian actress wowed at the film’s premiere.

‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ Photocall: Opting for a dark colour palette, Maria wore a knee-length Escada skirt combined with a black Aquascutum jumper. The vivid tones of the whimsical appliqués were enhanced by the floral embroidery in the Christian Louboutin boots. I appreciate the way the shoes tied in the detail, but find their light colour distracts slightly from the rest of the look. The Dior bag and Jane Koenig earrings offered a more cohesive finish.

‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ Premiere: Lighting up the red carpet, Maria donned a vivid Dior dress with lace overlay. The gown’s colour and lace fabric captivated, but it was the thin straps on the bodice that struck me. Black accessories, including Rene Caovilla shoes and a chain-strap Dior bag, contrasted the ruby dress.
