Who Was Your Best Dressed At The 2018 Tony Awards?

2018 Tony Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the of some of the other stylish attendees at Sunday’s 2018 Tony Awards.

Cynthia Erivo: The singer wore a bewitching black vintage lace dress which was so skin tight I could make out the outline of her belly button among other things. Thankfully there was a layer of fringe work to add some drama along with that berry lip. Fred Leighton jewels completed her look.

Uzo Aduba: I was hit by the gorgeous colour of Uzo’s Cristina Ottaviano gown before taking in how flattering the look is.

Christine Baranski: My first reaction to Christine’s Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2018 suit was breathlessness, as she looks so chic. I just wish the trousers had held up better on her car ride to the event. Nonetheless she still rocks this with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Tina Fey In Thom Browne – 2018 Tony Awards

The Tony Awards is all about the razzle dazzle, and Tina Fey most definitely did the latter in her Thom Browne custom gown on Sunday night (June 10).

The designer is known for reinventing classics with unique proportions, silhouettes and preppy detailing, but on this occasion his sequin silver fair isle embroidered tromp l’oeil gown with ostrich feathers and beaded fridge showed that he can just as easily do classic evening glamour.

Some might have expected some quirks or signature details, but I love how he created this stunning look with the event and client in mind.

Condola Rashad In Carolina Herrera – 2018 Tony Awards

Condola Rashad has always been one to make a splash at the Tony Awards, and Sunday nights event was no different.

When I saw this Carolina Herrera Fall 2018 off the shoulder, silk faille red gown on the runway, I prayed that by the time it hit the red carpet that some alterations would be made to make me fall for this look because I love the idea and the feeling behind it all.

The colour is striking on Condola, but as hard as I tried, I couldn’t fall in love with this gown.

Mostly because of the “just got out of a box” crumpled effect of the fabric.

Condola herself is stunning which saddens me most about this look.

Zoey Deutch In Brock Collection – 2018 Tony Awards

Unlike Carey Mulligan and Rachel Brosnahan, Zoey Deutch wasn’t oozing the summer vibes at the 2018 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 10) in New York City.

I’ve always been a fan of the Brock Collection’s use of summer florals, even for their Fall collections, but on this occasion Zoey’s embroidered teal dress felt too sombre for the occasion.

I am by no means saying that everyone needed to be in full bloom at this event, but I’m not getting that same cheery vibe I usually get from a Brock Collection look.

Carey Mulligan In Giambattista Valli – 2018 Tony Awards

Carey Mulligan was looking every inch an English rose at the 2018 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 10) in New York City.

Like Rachel Brosnahan, Carey brought spring’s ephemeral blooms onto the red carpet wearing a stunning top and skirt from Giambattista Valli’s Spring 2018 collection, that made a beautifully feminine impression.

We all know that Carey likes to keep things uber simple, so this floral look almost feels like it came out of left field.

Claire Danes In Valentino – 2018 Tony Awards

Claire Danes took her maternity style to the 2018 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 10) in New York City.

I love that she’s not shying away from statement pieces in classically luxe compositions – case in point the leopard spots which cover her Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 gown in rose-pink and black sequins.

Tiers add structure and a playfulness to the look, which her heavily kohl-rimmed eyes gives the look an unexpected edge which I’m living for.

Would you agree that Claire’s maternity style has seen her hit a rich vein of form style-wise?
