Dua Lipa Goes Full Parisian Socialite in Chanel Haute Couture
Dua Lipa attended the 2026 WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards, held at The Museum of Modern Art in New York on Thursday evening.

I don’t know about you, but I have conflicting feelings about the British singer’s Chanel Fall 2026 Haute Couture look.
On the one hand, the skirt suit feels too mature for her. On the other, I love how unpredictable this choice is, especially for someone whose red carpet style rarely ventures into this territory. Perhaps my own bias against Chanel skirt suits is clouding my judgement, because the closer I look at the intricate floral embroidery and textured embellishments, the more I appreciate the craftsmanship.

And then there’s the hat. Is it completely over the top, or was keeping it the right move? I’m leaning towards the latter, because suddenly I’m picturing a wealthy Parisian socialite in the 1960s, heading to a society luncheon in her Chanel Haute Couture, with an extravagant hat that probably cost more than most people’s monthly salary.

And that’s where this look wins me over. Dua isn’t simply wearing a Chanel skirt suit that feels beyond her years; she’s giving me an entire character, and somehow, the hat that initially had me questioning everything is the very thing that makes it work.

Bvlgari High Jewellery diamond earrings and a Serpenti Viper ring completed her look, along with black pumps, Chanel clutch and a Chanel pearl necklace worn as an anklet.
