Ana de Armas’ Faux-Tucked Hair by Moroccanoil
Ana de Armas attended the Louis Vuitton Spring 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week wearing a black leather jacket as a dress, but it was her hairstyle that offered an interesting detail worth a closer look.

Celebrity hairstylist and Moroccanoil Ambassador Owen Gould created soft, tousled waves that appeared to be tucked into the back of her jacket. In reality, the hair was secured in a loose knot, allowing the lengths to fall naturally around her shoulders while creating the illusion of a shorter hairstyle.
The Inspiration
“I wanted this look to feel effortless and lived-in and to give the illusion that the hair was tucked into the jacket without actually being tucked in. I decided a loose knot in the back would be the most chic option,” Gould explained.
The technique is surprisingly simple, and the best part is that it doesn’t require cutting your hair to achieve the effect.

How to Recreate Ana de Armas’ Hairstyle
Gould shared his styling technique using Moroccanoil products, starting with Hydrating Shampoo and Hydrating Conditioner to leave the hair soft and manageable.
On damp hair, he applied All in One Leave-In Conditioner through the lengths and ends for extra hydration, followed by Perfect Defense for heat protection.
Rather than using a brush, Gould rough-dried the hair with his hands to preserve its natural texture. Once dry, he created loose waves in alternating directions, leaving the ends slightly straighter for a relaxed finish.
A small amount of Moroccanoil Treatment Original was worked through the mid-lengths and ends to separate the waves, add shine and keep the hair soft.
For extra volume and texture, he applied Dry Shampoo Dark Tones at the roots and lightly through the lengths.
The final step was the cleverest part. Gould divided the hair down the centre at the back, tied it into a loose knot and secured it with two concealed bobby pins, creating the illusion that Ana’s hair had been casually tucked into her jacket.
The Finishing Touch
What makes this hairstyle work is the contrast between the defined centre parting, soft waves and the hidden knot. From the front, Ana’s hair appears long and loose, while the back reveals the styling trick.
It’s also a clever way to wear longer hair with a high collar or statement jacket without having to commit to an updo.
