2026 Emmy Awards Red Carpet Roundup
Here is a final look at some of the notable looks from the 2026 Emmy Awards, from bold colour and classic gowns to a few choices that moved away from traditional red carpet dressing.
Mint Condition
Elle Fanning’s Ralph Lauren gown was one of the prettiest colour moments of the night. The mint-green shade and fluid silhouette felt like a step outside her usual awards season formula. Cartier jewellery completed her look.
Feathered Finish
Allison Janney wore a black Pamella Roland Resort 2027 gown with the pale-pink feathers giving a familiar black column gown far more personality, and Allison carries it beautifully. A Tyler Ellis clutch and Sabyasachi jewellery completed her look.
Bows In The Details
Cailee Spaeny kept things deceptively simple in a red Miu Miu column gown. Those tiny bows across the neckline gave this look a connection to Emilia Clarke’s Prada gown, but this outing was far more successful.
Sculpted In Navy
Carrie Coon wore a Maison Margiela Fall 2026 gown inspired by an Edwardian silhouette. The raw-edged navy boiled wool and rounded shoulders give the dress its distinctive shape, and I appreciate seeing something this different at the Emmys, but this just felt too heavy overall. De Beers jewellery completed her look.
Black And White
Dakota Fanning selected a Carolina Herrera Resort 2027 gown that had a vintage quality I should find charming, but overall I was underwhelmed. Gianvito Rossi shoes completed her look.
Suiting With Personality
Emma D’Arcy wore a Soshiotsuki three-piece suit in an oversized silhouette that felt completely at home on Emma. The success for me lies in the pink shirt, which breaks up the volume of the black tailoring and stops the oversized silhouette from feeling too heavy.The look was layered with Tiffany & Co. jewellery.
Texture Takes Over
Fiona Dourif’s Thomas Hanisch Fall 2026 gown felt worlds away from the usual idea of an Emmy gown, but completely in keeping with her personal style. She has a taste for avant-garde silhouettes and unusual textures, so the fuzzy deep-red fabric and sculptural shape make perfect sense on her. This is exactly the kind of individuality I want to see more of during awards season.
Better But Blah
I really miss Hannah Einbinder’s old style. This Calvin Klein Collection look is simple enough, but I found it a bit boring for the Emmys. Ana Khouri jewellery completed her look. I feel she needs to get Nicolas Ghesquière back on the phone.
Seeing Red
In Georges Chakra Fall 2026 Couture, Jackie Tohn could not be missed in those bright-red sequins. Le Silla heels completed her look.
Lavender Layers
I usually struggle with Jessica Williams’ style, but I was charmed by this custom Honor gown, which was on trend with the other lilac looks on this red carpet. It is unabashedly feminine, and the colour looks gorgeous on her. Jessica McCormack jewellery completed her look.
Keri x Khaite
Keri Russell is forever a favourite during awards season. She always marches to the beat of her own drum, and this Khaite halterneck leather dress with Buccellati jewellery is a perfect example of that.
Softly Does It
I like the softness of Kristen Bell’s Alberta Ferretti Resort 2027 gown, but the cape detail had me at odds. It feels a bit unnecessary, but perhaps it prevented the look from feeling too boudoir-adjacent.
Tuxedo Territory
Louisa Jacobson opted for Tom Ford tailoring rather than a gown. The elongated trousers could have been cleaner, but I like the overall attitude and the Tiffany & Co. brooch.
Red Alert
As the host, it was Mariska Hargitay’s job to stand out, and this red sequinned Monse gown with an asymmetric neckline and dramatic train ensured that. It is glamorous, celebratory and exactly the kind of boldness I want to see on this carpet. Bucherer Fine Jewellery completed her look.
Saint Laurent Simplicity
I love how Michelle Pfeiffer styled her Saint Laurent dress with the gathered jewelled centrepiece in mind.
Red Carpet Red
Niecy Nash embraced the second trending colour on this red carpet: red, in this Khaled and Marwan gown. The fitted silhouette and sweeping train do exactly what they need to do: hug, sculpt and snatch, while Leviev jewellery added the finishing touch.
Pink Without The Impact
I can’t say that I like Rachel Sennott’s pink Balenciaga gown. It didn’t really stand up alongside most of the other looks on this red carpet. Leviev jewellery completed her look.
Vintage Versace
Sarah Michelle Gellar turned to vintage Versace, wearing a vivid-pink column gown. The simplicity lets the colour take centre stage, while Gabriel & Co. jewellery completed her look.
Ivory And Diamonds
Sarah Snook’s Balenciaga ivory off-the-shoulder gown was a far better representation of the house, with the clean silhouette giving the Cartier jewellery plenty of room to register, and the simplicity suits her.
A Change Of Pattern
Prints and patterns are rare during awards season, so Sheryl Lee Ralph’s strapless Sergio Hudson metallic sequin gown was a welcome change. De Beers jewellery completed her look.
