Juliette Binoche Wore Stella McCartney To The 2026 European Film Awards

Juliette Binoche attended the 38th European Film Awards held at Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin on Saturday.

The French actress was there as a guest presenter and, continuing her run from 2025, she once again leaned into black. On this occasion, she selected a dress from Stella McCartney’s Fall 2025 collection that we have seen before. It may not immediately click, as her version doesn’t have the heart shaped crystal embellishments seen on the runway.

Laura Dern wore the original look to the Is This Thing On? London Film Festival premiere back in October. More recently, Priyanka Chopra stepped out in a white version of the same design, also without the crystals, at the Jonas Brothers Hand and Footprint Ceremony last month. That outing, for me, was a total disaster.

Juliette’s take is easily the strongest of the three.

The fit and proportions are more convincing, and the shoulders have been softened from the bolder runway version, which works far better for her frame. Where the embellished bodice once dominated, this pared back approach allows the silhouette itself to do the work.

In place of the crystal heart bodice, Juliette simply styled her look with a Maison Fred diamond encrusted bow necklace.

This was a confident, well judged choice, proof restraint is often the smartest edit.
