Allison Janney Wore Rhea Costa To ‘The Rose’ New York Premiere

Allison Janney knows how to make an entrance, and last night at the Hudson Theatre in New York City she gave us just that as she joined Olivia Colman for the premiere of The Roses.

Her last outing in Christian Siriano didn’t win everyone over, but this time, I have a feeling you love this, as Allison stepped onto the carpet in a plum Rhea Costa gown that radiated elegance and confidence.

The first thing that catches you is the colour — deep, rich, and swoon-worthy — add in the satin draping over the shoulder and suddenly she’s serving statuesque glamour, the kind that feels both modern and timeless.

Jewellery lovers would have clocked her David Webb diamonds and emeralds immediately. As beautiful as they are, the cuff was one piece too many for me. The rest of the accessories were on point: a Jimmy Choo plum clutch and Roger Vivier sandals.

This is Allison Janney at her very best — polished, and powerful, closing out the summer with style.
