Tracee Ellis Ross Promotes PATTERN BODY In Christopher John Rogers

It’s safe to say Tracee Ellis Ross has been everywhere lately — from promoting her joyful new show Solo Traveling with Tracee Ellis Ross to launching PATTERN BODY, the latest addition to her PATTERN BEAUTY empire. And somehow, she’s still serving looks that keep us talking.

Her latest Instagram drop was pure serotonin. Honestly, it felt like spotting a double rainbow after a gloomy day — vibrant, unexpected, and guaranteed to lift your mood.

Tracee has always been a master of colour, but she’s not afraid to strip things back. Just last week she was channelling oversized, Wall Street-inspired tailoring in sharp monochrome. Fast forward a few days, and she’s twirling in a kaleidoscope of colour courtesy of Christopher John Rogers.

Christopher John Rogers, who made his name by unapologetically throwing every shade in the paintbox onto the runway, has spent the past year in a more muted mood. His white tiered dress has been worn by Blake Lively, Kerry Washington and even Charli XCX. But this Fall 2025 tiered halter dress, painted in six glorious hues, feels like a vibrant reset — for both the designer and Tracee herself.

Now, this is not an easy dress to wear. It’s bold, it’s dramatic, it’s practically a personality of its own. But Tracee? She makes it look effortless, pairing it with earthy brown Femme sandals and MISHO jewels.

I can picture Lupita Nyong’o owning this dress too, but, we’ll have settle for her Chanel ruffles and tweed.
