Katie Holmes Wore Prada To The 2025 Tony Awards

Katie Holmes returned to the Tony Awards stage this year as a presenter, with her Broadway roots well established thanks to roles in All My Sons (2008), Dead Accounts (2012), and the recent 2024 revival of Our Town.

With that kind of pedigree, expectations were high—so it’s a real shame that her custom Prada look didn’t deliver what the night called for.

Honestly, I don’t quite know where to begin. The top half, a green open-back design, isn’t inherently a bad piece on its own. But its pairing with a heavily embellished pink skirt left me scratching my head. It’s giving Elphaba-meets-Glinda in the middle of a style scuffle—and no one came out on top.

If I’m being very generous, maybe there was potential here had the skirt been positioned higher on the waist. The low-slung fit combined with the tucked-in top just didn’t do Katie any favours.

When Katie and Prada click independently, the results can be unforgettable. Sadly, this was not one of those nights. Honestly, a rerun of Prada’s signature pink duchess satin dress would’ve been a safer—and far more flattering—bet.
