Sarah Paulson Wore Schiaparelli Haute Couture To The 2025 Tony Awards
After that pink taffeta situation from The Row last week, Sarah Paulson clearly heard our call for a swift red carpet rebound—and delivered exactly that at the 2025 Tony Awards on Sunday.

The returning 2024 Best Leading Actress in a Play, served up a in a true showstopper from Schiaparelli’s Spring 2025 Haute Couture collection. Dubbed the “Dropped ball gown,” it combined a sleek, high-neck black velvet open-back bodice with a dramatic butter satin duchess skirt, richly embroidered with floral motifs and the house’s emblematic codes in tonal satin stitching and cotton cord. This was couture at its most sculptural, theatrical, and technically masterful. I’m blown away by the craftsmanship.

She styled her dress with Roger Vivier’s I Love Vivier black pumps and a gold Efflorescence clutch, adding a final touch of old-world glamour with Buccellati jewellery—sparkling diamond earrings, a matching cuff, and a rubellite cocktail ring.
A winning look for one of the night’s most stylish comebacks.
Stylist: Karla Welch.
