Demi Moore graced the TIME100 Gala in New York City on Thursday as an honouree, following her appearance at the Summit earlier in the week, and if there was ever a look that blended legacy status with modern elegance—it was this one.

When you’re dressing a Hollywood icon with decades of red carpet excellence under her belt, you don’t just call in the big guns—you assemble the fashion Avengers. Enter Zac Posen and Kim Jones, who joined forces like couture superheroes to create a custom gown for Demi, crafted in the Gap Studio. The result? A satin-faced chiffon gown that was draped, pleated, and sculpted with the kind of finesse that makes you audibly gasp.

I love how the design cinches at the waist, giving her silhouette definition while still maintaining fluidity. There’s something so regal about the restraint here. Demi didn’t need theatrics—the look let her natural glow do all the heavy lifting.

The look also came with a tuxedo jacket, but I’m firmly team no jacket. This gown deserved to have its moment, uninterrupted. Diamonds added the final touch, with a pair of stunning drop earrings in particular catching my eye—they were the perfect dose of drama without tipping the scale.
