Chappell Ronan Wore McQueen To The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Los Angeles Awards 2025

Chappell Roan doesn’t enter a room—she arrives in full theatrical splendor, which is exactly what she did as a guest presenter at The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Los Angeles Awards on Thursday.

Wearing a metallic floral jacquard dress from McQueen’s Fall 2025 collection, this look was a full-throttle celebration of camp, drag, and drama—aka the holy trinity of Chappell’s stage presence. Between the puffed ruffled sleeves, the dramatically book-pleated collar and the shimmering jacquard fabric, this was not so much a red carpet look as it was a full-on performance. And I was fully seated.

Her signature red hair was allowed to flow in all its wild glory, which might’ve been the best part of the look—equal parts glam rock and mythological siren. Makeup was surprisingly restrained (well, by Chappell standards), which allowed the outfit to fully take centre stage.

But while I expected nothing less than total commitment from head to toe, I was slightly caught off guard by the shoe choice. She wore the same McQueen fishnet and floral appliqué tights seen on the runway, but instead of the silver boots that would’ve been the perfect exclamation point, she went with black Christian Louboutin x Maison Margiela Bilougiela strappy pumps. Cute, sure—but not quite the mic drop I was hoping for.
