2022 Prince’s Trust Gala Red Carpet Roundup

There were more ladies who attended The Prince’s Trust Global Gala in New York City on Thursday (April 29), where they celebrated the charity’s inspirational young people and the beginning of its work in the United States. 

Gigi Hadid’s all pink look needs no introduction as wore an off-the-shoulder embellished mini dress from the Valentino Fall 2022 Pink PP collection, with the obligatory Valentino Garavani Tan-Go pumps.

I think Valentino is trying to set a world record where every piece from one collection will be worn on the red carpet.

I’m here for the outfit, but not for the bleached eyebrows.

Bella Hadid looked ever so elegant wearing 1959 vintage Dior by Yves Saint Laurent black dress which hails from her stylist Law Roach’s personal archive.

The models’ style has been very trend driven, but this latest look is in sharp contrast, showcasing a deep appreciation of classic elegance.

Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps and Chopard jewels completed her look.

Jeanne Cadieu remains the only person who has sold this Loewe Spring 2022 dress to me.

Sabrina Dhowre Elba does look good, but I’ve reached a “let’s see more” point from this collection.

At least with the Valentino Pink PP collection we aren’t seeing repeated styles, even if the colour is the same.

Imaan Hammam’s Alaïa Spring 2022 served up soft tailoring with snatched waist which was inspired by menswear, yet oozed femininity right down to her heart-shaped pumps.

This suit was worn back in December by Dakota Johnson who opted out of wearing the hooded top.

Natasha Poonawalla pretty much shutdown the red carpet wearing this Balenciaga Spring 2022 layered lace gown which she styled with a Gucci Broadway heart-shaped shoulder bag.

Some might feel that she was Met Gala ready a few days too early, but this was also a gala, and I’m sure if she is going to Monday’s event, she will opt for something even more extravagant.

When it comes to the gown itself, I would love to see someone more theatrical like Coco Rocha or Erin O’Connor wearing this piece.

I think the clutch helps Natasha sell the gown, because there is an element of her looking like she’s just swimming in fabric.

Adut Akech was the only one of the models aside from Gigi Hadid and Naomi Campbell to wear a colour other than black.

I adore the puff sleeve top it reminds me of outfits my auntie would create using African printed fabrics.

Adut came to the party with her Bottega Veneta accessories.

As you know I’ve always been slightly underwhelmed by Karlie Kloss’ red carpet style.

Looking at this feathered Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2022 black and gold off-the-shoulder gown, I feel slightly bewildered by how dated this feels, and the choice of accessories which only served to drag this look down further.
